eh being on the carpet shouldn't have much effect. the case will protect against static electricity.

now when you open the case, make sure you ground yourself (touch the metal case before touching anything else) and don't stand on carpet.

Trust me, the case does not protect.........i can guarantee it

I mean if a computer is just sitting on a carpet it's not going to do anything...sitting on carpet does not cause static electricity that penetrates the case and jumps onto your mobo lol
