Alright guys!After less than an hour we start this season's qualification matches.First stop - Azerbaijan!They are a tough team but I think we should be able to beat them though we already saw a bigger upset today - Bulgaria's draw with the ~10 point weaker by average mark team of Singapore.I do hope though that we won't leave Azerbaijan a chance to do the same.

And something important - after the match expect a new topic with some interesting news about the NT!

F*ck that ... awful match and I just have no explanation why.I'm going to watch it again but probably the height of the defense should have been different.And as I expected their average mark was pretty close to ours, good thing we didn't play with 4 defenders.

IMO it was worst US NT match ever against that kind of team :|

Hale's fault?He gave an assist so he didn't perform bad imho.
And about the shots - did you watch the match?We had around 10 one on ones and have 5 shots.The problem was our strikers didn't shoot in those God damn situations.Otherwise we would have won with 3-4 goals difference at least.

I'm pretty committed and spent a lot of hours preparing for the match and when I saw how our players looked like on the pitch I got a bit pissed off.I'm still glad that you see this strange game as I do.

Mario, ignore scyzor, he was like that when I took over the U21s. Until he actually does it himself take it with a grain of salt. :)

That said a win is a win, and that is something we haven't done a lot of in the past. I am not sure what "that kind of team" meant either, all I know is they have about 100 more users than the USA.

Thanks for the encouragement fla!That match will make me even more cautious when building up tactics for the next matches.Though I'm a bit worried because next match is a really tough one and I'm not sure how will everyone react if we loose (and I think that's highly possible).Still I'm going to work my ass off and try to get something from that match!I hope it pays off in the end.

Well, it wasn't pretty but 3 points is 3 points. Really exciting game to watch at any rate, pretty interesting contrast in attacking styles, both teams could have had 6 goals easy.
