Are you saying that a tactic with one striker is offensive?
No. Nowhere did I say it was offensive. I just said that the team pressed more, because I moved up the defensive line.
The players made absurd decisions. Even the horrible players on my team, when they receive the ball with space on the wing... none of them pass the ball back into the middle, and stop the team from attacking. If the players behaved normally, they would have done what all players do. If they had played normally, the USA would have had more shots after crosses. In the 1st half, the USA had an isolated player, who decided to pass the ball hahaha We had a lot of opportunities to shoot, but stupid things were happening.
And when I see again 4 goals conceded in just 9 shots (not in 1 game, but in all of them), after all the hate I suffered from the Poles in a game managed by Poles... do I have to pretend that I'm stupid?
But for those who benefit from things, everything is good people and it's because they are good.

The USA has several very good GKs, with keeper 18, and then high levels of Pace and passing.
The effectiveness of the shots is related to the quality of the GK. And we conceded goals in almost half of the shots. This is not normal! It can happen in 1 game sometimes, but not all!

Portugal today conceded 20 shots and conceded 0 goals! Won 1-0, penalty goal.
I'm sure they don't have a better GK than the USA.
Statistically, there is a huge deviation here! I've been to Portugal, and at most I lost 3-0! Here the best result was to lose "only" 4-0! And it wasn't because I was massacred. The team only conceded 9 shots. The only difference between Portugal and USA was the confusion at the beginning of the season. Last season, there was also confusion in Portugal with a Pole... and Portugal had pathetic results.
At least in Portugal, there are more people who think like me, among those who have already been coaches of Portugal NT.

this is just the ME. Happens to everyone, myself included. It's just flaws that have always existed.

Rui Samuel dos Quarteis (GK of Portugal NT)
- Form 18
- Experience 7 (Judd Thompson has 13)
- keeper 18
- Pace: +1 than our Judd Thompson
- Passing: -2 than our Judd Thompson
Even the other skills that are not important, at most we have +/-1.

Oh, again, you'll get no argument from me about how screwed we've been by the ME as far as goalkeeper ineffective has been.
I know we are in agreement on this.
We just don't agree on why ME is doing this in every game against us... I'm 100% sure why... but everyone can have their opinion.
We are out of the next WC, so I can only give minutes to players who will be useful in the next Qualifier, but without risking losing the 3 games against the 3 teams below us.

I honestly would focus on winning games, not playing youth.
The long term benefit of playing younger players just isn't meaningful. These players should all be playing twice a week in league anyway. It's not like U21 when maybe you play 20 year olds in the offseason before the Cup.

We have young players with a value very similar to that of older players. The skills are the same, the only difference is experience.
For example, the USA could play Wyatt Cheatham instead of Judd Thompson.
I'm sure experience is important, but many players only reach a good level when their skills are already declining. I had that problem this season. I now have the opportunity to minimize this problem, so that next time, we don't miss the WC.
For example, our most experienced GK (the only one with a good level) often appeared with only 17 as keeper, and that's why he didn't play many times. He was varying between 17 and 18.

By doing that, you could decline the progress of the younger players by risking a 3 week injury. After that, the owner will hide the skills of the player.
That option will not get you the WC.
You should concentrate on winning the games, so you don't fall in the rankings too much

Rankings are so important I agree. You don't want to be too low that you end up with almost impossible groups.
You are the person who played with a U25 team. You are inconsistent. There are players who have insufficient experience, and I will use them, just as I used them before... and the USA won. I know what problems I am having because of the previous bad work, and I have the opportunity to solve them to put the team to my liking.
The coach has changed, the tactics have changed… but unfortunately the results are the same. The problem is in the poor management of the squad. If I do everything the same as the previous coach, nothing will change. I will do the same as I did in Portugal, and in the next Qualification the USA will reap the rewards of this work… just like what happened with Portugal. I am sure that I am doing the right thing to get the USA into the WC. I inherited this season's squad, but the next squad will already have my work.

I wouldn’t say the results are the same. Last season we lost to them 2:1. This season we lost to Austria 6:0 and 4:0 with basically the same squad. Focus on winning and stop blaming the match engine, players with non divine pace, and assuming Polish players have a hidden advantage

You've dropped to the 4th pot and you really think you're on track to qualify for the World Cup? I don't know a bigger optimist :-)
