"Moving forward we need to figure out how to ensure election integrity."
unfortunately, this is out of our hands. We are a mostly forgotten country with zero staff members at all.

Releme thinks that playing younger players in NT matches (where practical) will benefit us seasons down the line.

Ok we need to get attention of mods, we are paying customers and would like to participate in competitions that are fair.

It means giving minutes to the USA NT. While other teams will change almost their entire squad for the next Qualifier, we will keep a lot of players. I don't consider this a general solution, but specifically for the USA, considering the players' skills, for me it's the best approach.

I consider it a good point. Building with future in mind.
Let’s gather ideas and maybe later we can figure out a tier of priorities and decide where we wanna place it.

It won’t work. All players he is using already have high discipline so it won’t matter.
There were countries that tried this at u21 level, playing u20 in qualifiers to use 21yos in the World Cup.
I remember France even failed to qualify to WC and other teams got beaten in group stage. It’s just pointless, doesn’t impact the game.
USA needs more youths, a system of looking out for best NT prospects, ideally American managers who would buy best prospects and trained them or other users who would want to do that (like Norbert does). Many countries did that, such system works well in Australia.
Another important step is making sure the rank improves, being around #50 rank while managing to play for 75-77 is terrible… besides team strength rank is the most important factor in qualifying to World Cup.

I also like the idea of NT coach acquiring US players and training them. It shows dedication and gives more control, ensuring training of skills that are crucial at NT level and creating profile of the player that will be most efficient for NT tactics.
I believe it’s best if we approach it as a long term project.

Each case is different. The USA NT is a team that traditionally comes in 3rd place, so I don't see any problem in finishing 3rd this season, to make a very good next Qualifier. On the other hand, if France comes in 3rd... that's terrible.

Building community around this idea would be excellent.

We need a youth system that doesn't suck.
I only keep 11 kids in my school because it allows for more consistent future coach estimations. If it were solely merit based and I didn't need the league for talent estimations, I'd have like 1 kid in there right now.
One.
Also, Borkos is right on this kids playing in the NT. It's far more risk than reward. People are still training players at 25, 26. Getting injured in an NT match unless they are literally the best player available is a good way to make these players unavailable down the line by their owners.

not to mention it produces more losses which keep our rank down. It's been in the mid to high 40s forever.

That’s out of control. We need to stick to what we are able to control.

In your opinion, being in the game for nearly 20 years (RESPECT) what #rank we should be aiming for given the marks of players and number of users in our country.
What results we should expect from our NT? What would be considered underachieving, what would be considered overachieving.

Honestly, if we're going to have a Senior NT discussion, then it should include, if not start, with the U21. Where players spend their most efficient four seasons of training.
Now, this has nothing to do with Norbert. He's a FANTASTIC manager, and I understand why he's probably leaving after this season. It'll be a huge hole to fill.
This is more of a philosophical argument.
I have a guy in Dakota Hodge who is not super talented, but he was pulled mid 16 so only because of this ideal young age, and the fact I have grade A training facilities now, I can actually salvage and make him a good quality ML striker. NT? Doubtful, but the only way it'll be remotely possible is if I don't make him useful to the U21 team. I could make him available for the U21 team, but it would adversely affect his long term development to do so. I'm of the belief - from what Releme has mentioned to me - that we have a load of players like this. Maybe they were just built like crap after age 21. I obviously can't say.
My point is producing good U21 players with a player pool this small often involves inefficiently training them at young ages to do so.
Now, from a future sales standpoint it's fine, because the vast majority of managers in this game aren't terribly bright when it comes to player development. However, for proper senior NT development it matters.
I do think Norbert could speak better to this than I could, since he's been in charge of the program for several seasons. Perhaps the problem isn't as dire as I suspect it is.

I want everyone too know that you are not a forgotten country, since becoming Mod again I have specifically kept an eye on things here....which I think has shown?
On top of this I am very aware of the election issues, I have highlighted this area of concern to Administrators of the game and this is being looked into with great detail to ensure fair play.
If people have issues then I am always available by sk mail etc too.

The most important thing is awareness of training. In the USA there are players with wasted potential such as this one:
21yo
formidable [11] stamina hopeless [1] keeper
solid [8] pace average [5] defender
adequate [6] technique superdivine [18] playmaker
very good [9] passing very good [9] striker
The pool of players is not small. I am glad that I managed to convince a few people to start a school a few seasons ago, I am sure that it will bring benefits in the future. You can complain about the quality of young players coming out of junior school, but this applies to all countries. As for training players, in my opinion there are three types. Short-term training, the aim of which is to quickly earn money from a transfer, long-term training based on the optimal distribution of skills in order to make the player useful for the game. I use the third - multi-season training in order to prepare the player for the U21 game. As a national coach I see where the pros and cons of the age group are and I try to reduce the cons with the training of players. In Iceland, I trained young players up to the age of 21, sold them at the age of 21, max 22 and now about 10 of them play in the senior Iceland squad (that's 25% of the squad!). In a community like the USA (less than 100 managers) the NT and NT U21 coach must get involved in the training of young players. I am concerned that releme does not have a single American and talks about team development. In my opinion, his plan may do more harm than good.
