I was third, but I was 2 points behind 1st and 2nd place, and you were 7 points behind 2nd place, that's the difference. Besides, when I took USA U21 it was in 41st place (bottom half of the 3rd pot). My predecessor was in 4th place in the group. I took USA U21 to the second pot in my third season and we’ve been there ever since.
The NT is different than U21.. your job was to make the best tactic for the players we had to win the bracket.. (sure in friendlies, best to play our young stars, but that's it)
You do NOT build anything in that position. instead, it's just excuse after excuse.. why are you still crying in our forum?
we've all heard it all.. over and over and over and over..

Over and over again… but you still haven’t learned. The fact that you want to put an American as coach of the USA at all costs doesn’t mean you have to be ungrateful. The improvement in goals conceded compared to the last few seasons is obvious, and all your talk to the contrary is based on an agenda to achieve your goals, and not based on reality.
Unless you buy and actively train senior NT players you have no influence over player development. It’s wild that you are still trying to take credit for the development of a few foreign trained Senior NT players and claiming that was vital for winning matches down the stretch. Like Blue said, NT coaches are tacticians with the current players they have available. U21 coaches actually can influence training and development to a small extent.
A US coach is very important. Having players committed to developing US talent is vital for the long term success of a country NOT playing a few 23-25 yo in cup matches. Players like Adi/Norbert’s effort in training US players will absolutely yield Senior NT talent in the future.
Dinamo had a fire sale of many NT starters. Instead you have a -100m transfer deficit and still have 0 US players.
I’m certain that if able you would rather represent Portugal but are unelectable there.

+1
Plus I will still hold that developing U21 players correctly, for efficiency rather than U21 results will produce the better senior players. Sure, guys can be messed up age 22-25, but not nearly as bad as running up PM and passing on a 21 year old just to win some minor league games. That's what the U21 is, it's the developmental league. It's absolutely great to have a capable tactical manager - and Norbert's been an absolute gem - but in the end I found with my one term in Israel you'd be surprised just how many managers are willing to adapt their training on request. Not all of them, but I'd say a good 75% of them.

The current Portugal coach asked me if I wanted to take over Portugal, and I was the one who declined.
Your opinions are based on a lack of knowledge about managing a national team. If you don't accept learning from someone more experienced, then stay with your national team (I've already withdrawn my candidacy), and I'll train in a country with the humility to listen.
Until Sunday I am the coach of the USA, and I will continue to do what is best for the USA, taking into account the project I have defined. The interruption of this project is entirely your responsibility, but after Sunday... that will no longer be my problem.
USA only has 45 accounts left. At the beginning of last season you had over 100. You have lost over half of the accounts. This is exactly what I expected. Instead of criticizing the project, perhaps you would do better to ask the right people questions.

There’s always purge of accounts at end of season. It doesn’t look like there are any bot accounts this offseason inflating the numbers. Even with 45 users we have a fairly active user base where most have youth academies. There is certainly potential, Suomi has 57 users and is top 20 in senior and u21 teams.
Islander, yea I agree training for U21 effectiveness can be flawed and deviate from ideal training. In general, any form of training would be beneficial. So many players with talent are transferred and sold at an early age or sacked. Often these players are sacked early on or the training stalls out once they achieve decent skills for that country (short of NT standards).
Many of the players Adi/Norbert bought and trained to U21 quality were low value transfers and could have easily never been developed!
If there was a greater commitment to training US players our senior NT would be lightyears ahead of where it is now.
Honestly I think it would be good to make a pact among US managers to keep ONE training slot open to train players to Senior NT viability!

hey, I am all for training kids that come up through my system. It's just, LOL. I have nothing even remotely useful coming this year. Best probability is tomorrow night. I have a 17 year old now who, if he comes out as good, will essentially be a low 3 talent, just low skills - so not worth any real money. I may take a shot on him if this is the case. I will have a training slot available in a few weeks and I will figure something out until then.

You are right. And 45 is enough. But Suomi users know much more about Sokker, and that makes a difference.
In the USA there was a basic structural problem. Players were trained to have Pace 15/16. The Portuguese didn't do that when I was there, and I'm sure they didn't do that in Suomi either.
I didn't decide to play with young players because it was fun. I decided to play with young players because I identified a group of players to have the ability to have Pace 17 until the next Qualification, and in this Qualification we would be 3rd even with the old players.
I communicated on the private forum about the importance of Pace. I exchanged some private messages about training with foreign coaches. I was responsible for eliminating the "blocking point" that prevented any coach from succeeding in the USA NT.
But it is impossible to work in a country where they do not understand the importance of my work. All of the success of the USA in the future will be thanks to me, who eliminated the "blocking point", but what will go down in history... is that you kicked me and magically the next coach won.
The only mistake in my project was thinking that I would have at least 3 seasons to work, since Adivip had stayed here for 6. It was only recently that I realized how Adivip managed to stay here for 6 seasons.
The USA has players with high skills, but they are poorly distributed. I am sure that what you have learned from me will increase everyone's success, but ok... I'm leaving. Enough!

Yeah I remember that post. When I last took inventory there were only 2-3 US players that actually trained in the US. Saying we need to train pace would have no effect if all our players are on foreign teams.
