OK, so this was a match we weren't going to win in any event. With him playing 5 at the back and our 'quality' of forwards, we were going to be lucky to score at all.
Goal 1 - nothing we could do. Max is just scoring that goal.
Goal 2 - Max was covered. Didn't matter.
Goal 3 - Undecided on this one, but what's abundantly clear is Max is way too good for our defense.
What I found really odd, is the fact that Max was sold in 2023, yet there's no record of him in any transfer databases (to check his skills). I wonder how that happened.
Goal 4 - Again, he's tracked by 3 US defenders and it just doesn't matter.
I stopped watching at this point. Wasn't much reason to.
If I'm being completely honest, I found more tactical flaws in Austria's tactic than our own.

Come one, it was a sweep. 0:6, total failure again. 3:16 in shots with only 3 ratings difference? Osterreich is not a top NT in terms of quality.

About that... last season you were playing for 76-78 in some games. And won 3:0 against a 76.7 rating England.
Now you're down to 72-73 rating, I would concentrate on how that happened.

It's a waste of words, continue to create a mutual admiration society and bring down the US national team.
1) Yeah, the problem was I left the default range (68-70) in. My mistake :)
2) Ratings at this point mean very little in my view. Too little emphasis on the important skills, too much emphasis on subskills. Max was unstoppable, despite consistently covered. That's the bottom line. No amount of high score defenders is going to matter if they can't make a tackle. Period.

Ofc my tactic is far from ideal but just like the match show, much better than the USA. And probably you dont about tactic.

As I established all of last season, you are the one that brought this team down to the basement, with your default tactics and total lack of tactical creativity week in and out.

Yeah, it was my search error :) it defaults to range 68-70, I forgot to take the 68 out. Needless to say, I will not forget this again lol
He's got great form and divine tech. That's frankly all it takes to beat our sad ass defense, as I presently understand it.
There's only one thing defensively I'd have done differently than he did, but it's a philosophical decision, not necessarily a right or wrong. Many old users do the same thing he does with his defense.

Your words mean nothing, you have no idea about tactics at all, which I already proved to you last season, you are just loud and boisterous and you are everywhere, you want to hide your tactical and managerial deficiencies.

The difference is these three defenders: Goodfellow, Garfield, and Gentry. That's your '3 point difference'.

Well, today I come to comment on the game late, as I was forced to watch the game twice.
In the first 45 minutes I decided to play with a low defense (I tried to do something different because of the 0-5 defeat we had). We conceded 3 goals. Then, with the disadvantage, the team returned to playing with a strong defense. And we conceded 3 more goals. In my opinion, I did everything possible to not concede goals today, but that was impossible. Österreich took 5 shots forward and scored 5 goals. Even a defender has an assist. This way it's easy to win. Florian Max won all the balls in attack, and scored the goals. The 6th goal was different, there was a pass that our defenders could have easily cut the ball from, but they didn't. And there was the shot, which GK could have saved, but didn't.
On the other hand, offensively, in the first half our central midfielders had a lot of space to receive the ball. We had opportunities to build good offensive plays... but we didn't build any. In the entire game we only had one very good scoring opportunity, but it was in the 2nd half. Our main problem in attack was that we constantly tried to dribble past our opponents, and we always lost the ball. I wish the team had made more passes, and not so many dribbles.
The opponent scored 6 goals from 12 shots. But against Kazakhstan, Österreich only scored 3 goals in 26 shots. Things haven't been fair to us. I think the result is very excessive, despite Österreich winning fairly.
Later, more calmly, I'll watch the game again, and try to find something to improve. It's not worth it at this point.

I have literally the 8th/9th best value team in ML. Again, this is my 6th season. The past two seasons in ML I finished 5th, and 4th. Hoping for 3rd this time, Atlantic has had crummy ME luck and Vegas, despite me beating him half the time, is a superior side all around.

Goodfellow - Pace 15, Form 13... he is good, but there are other better options. I didn't use any defenders with Pace 15, and they all had better forms.
