This is still a valuations topic, but there are going to be slight rules to this:

1. A valuation is only permitted if the previous player posted in the topic has been given a valuation
2. Any valuation requests when a post has not been answered will be removed.
3. All normal Transfers II rules apply.

Going to trial this topic for 1 week (for defenders only, as it was the messiest of the valuation topics), see if it works before deciding whether to stick to this format (and changing all the other valuation topics), or go back to the old system.

Pardon me for saying this, but isn't there a flaw in your logic here?

People put their defs here for valuation cause they don't know how to value them. The whole purpose of the thread is to help with that, surely?

people want to hear other managers opinion of the value of their players. Who says that the answer of managers evaluating your player do know more about it?

And actually what is so hard on saying your own opinion about other players? If you are not sure, just say it and nobody will be mad on you. If you are totally wrong, there might be some "specialists" who will correct you.

You are also complaining that in Ev ATT thread nobody answers your request. That exactly is the reason why we trial this version here. To get people on answering evaluation requests. If nobody answers them (e.g. ATT Ev), you are unhappy and, even worse, you are still clueless. I personally think it is better to give an evaluation before being clueless :)

However, I see your point, but I dont see a better solution on this problem as to run the evaluation topics like this one here.
We will discuss that issue and decide wheter we stick to the rule in here or we go back to old rules as in ATT and MID Ev thread (as stated in first post)

today not many strikers was evaluated in att thread.

In that case, what is the point of the thread at all? Let's just look at the TL and hope someone else lists a player EXACTLY the same as ours.... or let's never sell any players.

you always do have a slight idea of your players value. It must not always be realistic, but neither are those from other managers evaluating your player. The idea of this evaluation thread is that other managers, maybe more experienced, maybe less, think about the posted player and estimate his value. So again, what is wrong when you do that also, when you want a valuation of your own? As stated previously, nobody will be mad on you if the player does not meet your evaluation on the transferlist.

We need a different sloution? Well, ok give us something to think about. Give us solutions. Blaming us to punish users is just ridicolous and again polemic pure. The whole sense of transferII is to help all sk users and not to punish one of them.

That's not just a bad idea it's actually insane!

If I knew how to value players I wouldn't need to post my player here to be valued!

I don't doubt many users can have a 'guess' as to a players value but many don't have a clue, and I include myself there. So the people who need help the most just get their posts deleted.

I feel like it's a possibility for you to get an estimation here. It's not like a program that serves you when you ask it to. I think you shouldn't criticise the MOD's and Admin's about these threads. They are made with the purpose to serve you in the best possible way, but they aren't made just for you.

I also totally agree with the concept in this thread over the concept in the other valuation threads...good work guys!

Ok... couple of points.

1: The reason I spoke in such specific extreme terms such as finding someone with EXACTLY the same value on the TL is not to be obstreperous, it is to illustrate a point that the whole situation that you HAVE to valuate a player before you can get yours valued.

2: Well done Gypsy King. This is exactly my point - if I knew how to value a player I wouldn't put him here for a valuation. Take for example the 2 players above my original deleted post. I haven't got a clue what they are worth. Could be 200k, could be 2m and what good is telling that to the person who asked for the valuation?

3: This new idea shows a willingness to find a solution for an existing problem, and for that I applaud it. I just think it is a shame that it doesn't actually address the actual issue - getting people who DO know how to value players to offer their services to poor fools like myself who DON'T know how to.

4: In response to Kasim's mention that we shouldn't criticise the MODs and Admins, I don't agree. Constructive criticism, with a dialogue can be very beneficial to this kind of process. Think of it as brainstorming! ;-)

5: I'll be thinking about an alternative solution and if I come up with anything I'll be sure to let you know, AnimalA!
