Onderwerp: World cup top scorer

2010-06-01 18:05:45
New Zealand haven't done too badly in their friendlies and Italy never score many.

Ryan Nelson! Epic new zealand defender, and chris wood, good striker , NZ ftw :)

Heskey won`t score a single goal in this tournament.

His primary job is not scoring goals....his main job is to keep the possession of the ball and lay it off to Rooney or other offensive minded players going forward. And for this he is great...."a target man". He played this role to perfection against Croatia.....

Agreed, especially Carragher.
Diego Milito and i am going to bet it!!!
2010-06-01 21:53:34
but surely it's better to have a striker like Defoe or Crouch that scores?
2010-06-01 22:18:17
He is useful, I'd rather have an out and out mid like Walcott though :(
2010-06-01 22:34:26
especially when Heskey's only had 2 assists all season *facepalm*
2010-06-01 22:40:54
Indeed. I'd like to give him a chance. Just please don't shoot, please Heskey :P

funny thinking that 10 years ago Heskey was almost the perfect striker- Amazing pace and strength at his prime.

I'm stunned! OK he's not Mr consistent but he is the kind of player that scares defenders, and I can tell you that the Germans here think we are mad not taking him. When I look at who's got in; SWP - who's done nothing domestically for years and has never done anything for England. Carragher who has admitted "not being bothered about England," and who has managed to be one of the worst players in a Liverpool side brimming with sub-standard players. Add to this supertalents Warnock and Upson, the walking wounded King and Barry (remember back in the hazy days Capello insisting players should be fit for tournaments??) and it's all a bit depressing. But no Capello as the masterstroke of leaving out England's one natural and dare I say it bloody good left sided midfielder in Adam Johnson. So Walcott and Johnson two players capable of something different stay at home, and assorted non-entities, cripples and hoofers get to go.I fear after this WC fiasco we will look back fondly on 2006!!! I'm bloody angry and my last bit of entusiasm has died, thanks a lot Postman bloody Pat.

Top scorer is generally someone who scores a bundle against mediocre opponents in the group stages. So I'm going for David Villa. Only problem is I reckon he'll be on the plane home after losing to the Ivory Coast in the second round.

Cristiano Ronaldo ^^
2010-06-02 04:00:05
I don't know whether you're serious or not. He hasn't scored for Portugal in 2 years
2010-06-02 07:39:24
you gotta admit king is pretty damn good though, despite having no knees, not being able to train, and out injured most of the time.

chupete goleador... del planeta gol, y no hay mas :P
