Onderwerp: Europe League 2010-2011

2010-11-03 18:30:40
Lech Poznan is second in group A, before Juve, but in league they are on 14th position (16 clubs in league). Today, day before extermally hard match against Man City board decided to change coach. The new one is Jose Maria Bakero (former Barcelona player). He has no experience as a coach, and this is very, very risky decision. I'm not happy because I think he won't make good results with Lech. I hope I'm wrong.

He has no experience as a coach

Not true. Half year with Polonia Warszawa, 4 years in different Spanish teams including 1 year as assistant coach in Valencia.

Still he's the worse type of coach to chose NOW. He is a type that needs time to make the team work etc. and Lech needs a motivator at the moment...not a tinkerman...

If you think that almost one year in Polonia, working with Malga B, 7 matches with Sociedad and working as a assistant is enough to call somebody experienced coach, I have objections :)

As I said, I hope I'm wrong, but till now, he didn't do anything special as a coach...
2010-11-04 02:47:23
Well it's more than 'no experience'.
2010-11-04 14:25:42
Mourinho was Bobby Robson's assistant at Barcelona... then he went to Porto and won the CL ;)

I have nothing against replay, as I said, I really, really want to be wrong.

Fantastic result for Lech :)

3:1 against Manchester City
2010-11-04 20:57:33
Second goal was a lucky one. But third goal was so amazing! Congratz for Polish fans!

Am I dreaming!? My team, from poor polish league did it again?

Lech is first in death group! Better than big teams - Manchester City, Juventus and better than Salzburg, which won all 6 matches in group in last edition. I can't belive it!

congratulation for Lech , an unexpected resulf for me
i even lost a bet ticket on this match :)

Sorry about it :P

I think that you can try a draw in Lech - Juve in 5th matchday. Of course Juve is favourite of this match, but maybe the ante will be high and Lech plays fantastic at home - 42 thousands of people with amazing support.

I'm sorry that I'm still talking about fans, but polish fans are called hooligans in Europe. Of course supporters of some clubs are wild, but Lech's fans have really big culture, here you have link from away match with Sparta Prague in the end of July in CL. Czech press were writing about threat of polish fans, but 2,5 k of Lech's fans didn't break even one side mirror from the car.

hi borkos :)

what do you think about the lech- juve game? i guess you are the right person to ask :) afaik you are the juve fan and pole:)
2010-11-30 13:13:46
Lech is amazing at home :)

So Lech win :D
2010-11-30 13:30:23
borkos will start makin excuses sayin how juve dont care about europa league and how many players they got injured....incase they lose
2010-11-30 15:41:45
Don't make a bet, everything can happen. Juve doesn't care much about the europa league, also has many injuries and 2 players can't play because they played for other teams - Quagliarella and Aquilani. Therefore the strikers will be Del Piero and Iaquinta, both without form.

On the other hand in the first game Lech was lucky and Juve is playing better now than at the beginning of the season. Still, in last EL game against Salzburg five primavera members played - all of them 17-19yo, for most of them it was their first game for Juve.

Really hard to say.
