This is the reason why our NT isn't doing too well anymore. We used to have Antti Niemi on goal who is one of the best GKs of his time, at least in Premier League. Now he has been retired for some seasons.

No. He is still playing in Bolton though. But Antti was clearly better on NT-level, saved us a lot of points in qualies.

Unfortunately it seems that he wants to play in Italian NT, not Finland. He will never get a call from NT Italy so I'd say he should choose our country as soon as possible before our other young prospects will pass him, if it's not too late already..
