Welbeck and Sturridge are the same player. Unless the ball is played into their feet in front of the goal, they can't score, only pass or hopelessly chase down the ball.

RVP does the same thing pretty much... just it works better because of Arsenal's playstyle. Another reason I don't think he'll be as good if he leaves for another club.
2012-08-10 14:55:56
Please be serious. RvP has amazing ball control and long shots, also freekicks. He used to play as wing striker in the beginning.
2012-08-10 15:52:31
I am completely serious. I have nothing against him, but he fits in perfectly to Arsenal's system.
2012-08-12 08:02:53
RVP IS an awesome player he shuld say at arsenal
2012-08-12 14:54:55
If RvP wants to win trophies he's going to have to leave Arsenal, Man United's looking the likely destination at the moment.

i don't really care that much about RvP deal. what worries me now is the united defense.
yesterday against hannover '96 united's defensive line was really such a crap, although it was only a friendly match. nemanja vidic really wasn't ready yet and carrick seems confused where he should be standing/moves. all of the three goals hannover scores were because of the weaknesses of them both as a pair in the back. the only good thing from that last pre-season game was rooney plays brilliant and so does kagawa.

hopefully those defense problem will be overcome as soon as the first game of this season started. and whether RvP really want a new challenge on his career or want to stay on his comfort zone, he should decide as fast as he could.

Rafael looked atrocious in the Olympic final too, his performance and attitude were awful.
2012-08-15 21:46:09
van Persie is in ManU :/// idiot...
2012-08-15 21:53:57
i don't see why we need him to be honest.
2012-08-15 21:54:55
Idiot? Every player wants to win something important, Van Persie has 29 years and has so far UEFA Cup with Feyenoord 10 years ago and....FA Cup + Community Shield with Arsenal.
2012-08-15 21:55:02
to have broken leg...
2012-08-15 21:55:39
Maybe because SAF doesn't believe in Berba anymore, Macheda is useless, Welbeck scores 1/10 situations and Hernandez can't find form...?

And when I said RVP goes to MU, you replied:

borkos007 to Ice-T
Don't believe in fairy tales.

:)

Even the Arsenal webpage has this transfer in the news, so the deal is sealed:

Arsenal Football Club can confirm that terms have been agreed for the transfer of Robin van Persie to Manchester United.

Van Persie will travel to Manchester on Thursday in order to agree personal terms and complete a medical ahead of the proposed move.

Further updates will feature on Arsenal.com in due course.

Ice-T do borkos007
Found out RVP will transfer to Manchester United... Curious, how much they paid for him.

You wrote one week ago that the deal was settled, which wasn't true.

I just stated he WILL transfer. As they are very close to sealing the deal, but there was no clue for the public how much MU will play.
