Hehe, he does have 8 goals (out of 21 matches) at international, compared to 3 out of 10 for Sturridge.

He also needs 15 1vs1 situations to score a goal :P

you can give Welbz a +2/3 in pace and tech, why not...but in striker he should have at most 0...

It isn't about +3 being the best finishers, it is about proportions. If +3 was used for everybody then they would all be superdivine but they are not, it is all dependent on value is well. So the fact that Welbeck has a lower value means he cannot reach the levels that Messi or Ronaldo would reach even if he was +3 across the board. The whole -3/+3 is about strengths and weaknesses, scoring is a strength for Welbeck so he would be probably on a +1/+2, then along with his value, Sokker will calculate the level of skill.

For example with the likes of Gerrard/Lampard who could both probably justify +3 in technique/playmaker since they are very experienced and those are their strengths, yet Transfermarkt values them low so they only reach Brilliant/Magical at the most.

no it is not, that's the whole point

The problem is:

We have assumed that the players are not as specialized as Sokker players therefore the skills should not differ drastically between players.

So if you set Welbeck with anything below +1, he'll end up looking like a defender :P

Sterling should be +3 pace and +1 pm, not +2 in both as now

what is "basic" skill? magic or brilliant or what?

the basic skills depends on value of player...

so we can, again, expect 3x divine Pedro with magical pm& passing and Fabregas with higher defender skill than many central defenders

I see that ;) but there is some basic skill, for what is +3 (for example) add..right? and then from magic skill there is superdivine for that player..am I right?
