Very clever system.
Until now I really didn't expect that any other solution could be better than achmid's proposal (with the international league), but your idea for the international cup (with this very good play-off phase, which gives also the possibility to playing official matches for the teams who are not qualified in the first four in the group stage) is very inventive and probably it would be more exciting as the international league (which is the same system as the national league). It's quite simply and clear, understandable, too. I hope it wasn't too late.
I think your proposal deserves a new topic in this development forum. There is also one for achmid's idea, then why not for yours? Then could be found easier.

Yes, I have thought about it, but there are already too many topics and I think that it is better at the oficial topic of devs, which is also easier for them to see.

I just went thoroughly through your system again and I found it the best one proposed so far.
Your International cup/league system is really innovative and fun. It combines both league and cup in a very interesting way. The first half of a season (7 rounds) it is a standard league and then it turns to a cup. Everyone plays 5 more matches in a tournament mode for his final position. And then there is again an element of the league in play offs. All teams can be sorted by final position>points>score with some promoting/relegating directly.
I am not entirely sure what to do with Fridays. Perhaps there could be some sort of leagues which would start every week since week 2 and end always at week 14. So everyone could join it right after they are out of the National cup. In this case the International cup could start at week 1 and the play offs of International cup could be on Wednesday at week 13 and playoffs of League could be on Wednesday at week 14.
I will leave this open, perhaps someone comes with a better idea.

exactly! I'm glad you understood. I have tried to combine what I found most interesting from the different proposals of managers and devs. And make it different also from the national league.

Theres no reason your proposal couldn't include a continental cup part way through the national cup season (in the way I proposed), as there are no fewer than 18 topics between sokker international and bugs and ideas, discussing having one.

+1 I think a similar system is followed in international hockey cup games.
I like your idea, but I see some minor issues with the calendar you proposed:
between the 14th week and the first of the new season there is no time.
sunday the 14th league match (often a very important match, looking at how calendar of leaaue are created)
friday the playoff (decisive match)
sunday again league match (as above)
1) The impact of some random events in this week are bigger, if you get 1/2 inured players you trow almost away 2 season.
2) And then there is the question of UX. Finishing a championship on Friday and starting again 2 days later without pause does not offer much time to reflect, plan etc

Also, National Cup finish before week 8 in many countries, if you are eliminate in international cup and cup, you have only 1 official match during many weeks. It will be a big problem with transfert(many sellers and no buyers) or training.
I think is better to stop playoff and direct ascent/descent.. it's not good for the first, and many teams lose volontary for play the play-offs to have more matches. And create 2 nationales cups ( first tour wednesday in week 1, and for second cup 1/2 wednesday finale friday). And for big country, only 1 cup. And friendly match has the training and no problem.
