that's indeed a good question, if there is data based evidence.
my observation is that injuries mainly happen with lost tacklings.
you may argue that players with weak defending create more of these situations. On the other hand, weak/slow players are not getting in such situation because the strong opponent is to fast.
My weak players did 2 injuries so far. One striker was injured in a normal game (was against you, mauser).
Another player was hit despite being placed in the corner (corner tactic played).
In the same time, I also had two injuries.

I have been so busy lately I just set the friendlies and set the team to ensure each player gets a game per week :)
We all get injuries, I had 2 when I faced Man Utd last season and a suspension, it's a game and it happens. I get more frustrated by the loss in training.

He only had 5 minutes to go i was only playing him for 45 mins they need training, also injury was 22 days lasted 25 he's missed all 4 games 3 of them the toughest, , and now his form dropped from 17 form to 11 and tact dis. from 17 to 12, so really until my player is playing like he was it could take over 11 games, might not get back into top form either , and now he'll be sold as no point having him, that's just one player, makes the game awful
so when you get a player injured it's a quadruple whammy [other being we play 2 games a week now]

I do not want any of my players playing for national team, Keegan injured again because of it, really killing the game for me, disallow even messaging the people does not help, I will have to have bad players from now on then drop division gooooooooooooooooooooood game
I just realised that hahahah i never watched the stupid match where best team lost
i always turned games off at 2 goals down, especially when i've smashed pants out of them,
Also the game is pretty awful to watch because of the amount of player graphic errors that never were here before

The graphical issues have been around since day dot. I doubt there’s been too much change there.
