Onderwerp: [info] Training issue - solutions

2023-09-08 02:29:23
As for the 30 players, everybody who wasn’t competing immediately for the league and who was trying to maximise training to build either strength or wealth to challenge in the future would do so if you could. You’d be silly not to. All the current farmers would continue to farm with as many as they could get away with.

To prove that, how many people are training 2 or 6 players now instead of 10? Before this system gks or strikers could only have a max of 2 or 6 when training primary skills. Are any training only 6 a week now?

30 is way too many. 10 is about right (maybe an extra 1 or 2) but no more. You need to still have to make choices about what you do.

So you’re not even in the top league in the US, so yeah I’d expect you’d be able to get away with doing other things. Try doing that in more competitive leagues in other nations with more users and see where that gets you. I’m also not referring to my own when I say this as I can get away a little bit if I sacrifice off games against sides stronger than me (though I can’t do it every week)

I digress though, my point was that in order to train def to mids (or pm to defs, defending to strikers) you have to sacrifice something that impacts more than just training speed. That directly makes something more difficult then training pace to older players where the only sacrifice is time.

We can agree to disagree but aside from being slow and annoying pace is relatively easy to train I comparison to others

I was told training older players in pace is not as efficient - the older player the slower they train speed so most efficient way would be to train player to max speed by age 21 or so?

My experience and suggestion about pace would be to train to brilliant as soon as possible before 22 years.

Then couple of trainings at 22 and 23 to reach almost your target pace level

Nowdays training pace when a player is 24, strats to be painful.

This is effectively what I am saying and doing. My standard was just trying to get to incredible (on applicable players) by end of age 21.

Of course training pace is 'easier' to organize. I've never argued it wasn't.

As far as being in the top league - give me a couple more seasons. I just started seven months ago. It won't take me nearly as long as all of these teams that have been playing 10 years +. It'll take a lot of injuries to keep me from at least a promotion match next season, even though my core group of players is just 20-21.

Every time I look at the transfer list there are a thousand divine - superdivine goalkeepers. I think you should make goalkeeping training even easier. They were going to make the game realistic. Hahaha
2023-09-08 23:31:52
There are currently on TL:

46 divine goalkeepers
120 divine defenders
15 divine playmakers
38 divine strikers

what's your issue? maybe we should make training defenders harder, there are too many of them :-)

The market regulates itself... if there will be too many goalkeepers, people will stop training them because it won't bring profit... or everyone will train their own goalkeeper. It's not a problem.

Average mark on club page function now

Is that the "new feature of the season"? :-P

btw. league stats show my avg rating as 59.7... the club page shows 59 while it should be rounded up to 60

a 28 y.o dropping in pace from 18 to 17, that's way too early though...from 30 ok i could understand but 28 is the peak age in football for most of players and some strikers even perform very well from their 32 year old.

the same here today

What is urgent, from my point of view, is to add useful skills to goalkeepers.
Since now everybody trains goalkeeper, you can reach double-divine at the age of 23. Many U21 teams have closse to double divine goalkeepers and that is something to avoid.
Passing is not important enough.
I would add importance to defender skill in goalkeepers (somehow their level in defending adds points to the defending skills of the other defenders) and technique (a lot of tech, reduces the chances of giving rebounds). Its urgent to create more complex goalkeepers.

And it's never gonna happen, sadly, because changing the skills of existing players will be too complex.
Additionally, it needs ME tweaking, which is even harder for the devs.
2023-12-17 12:49:28
The Defender skill option can be done without touching the ME (at the beginning of the match you add the points to the defending skill of the other defenders). Its a matter of creating a sort of pivot table with the new values.

The other one (the Technique improvement) yes, its more complex because it needs a tweak in the ME.
2023-12-17 12:54:40
The only thing that would bother from the pivot table solution is that, in case the goalkeeper needs to be replaced during the match, you cant withraw the defending points to the defenders and give new points coming from the sub. That would require ME tweaking too. But as a "patch" (knowning this sort of things could happen) it would be something that could be done immediatelly.
