Do not open Squad tab automatically when going to match settings!
A lot of times I do not want to change the squad settings. If I navigate away I am confronted with a popup.
It's not logical . Just open the page and let the user decide what he wants to do.

Can You give some example when you open these match settings without urge to change something there?

Like I just only want to look, like I only want to add or change a team order ?

Usually it is annoying when your player has injury or card, which will not have effect at the day of game and you can see the "x" at the match schedule tab.
Also it is annoying when you want to check how you put the squad to play.
I mean this is minor thing, but usually for me it takes 2 clicks instead of 1 click.
Before you put the squad you always check the saved subs and etc and only then you got to match line changes.

I think it opens on the second view because it is the one users mostly use.
Why should it open on the first view if in most cases it would end with user clicking the second link to switch to second view?

as I am saying:
Most of the time right now my route is like this:
Clicking settings - being redirected to Squad.
Instantly clicking General, checking everything how the squad settings looks with all subs;
Clicking Squad again and making differences.
I am not sure how about majority of users, but when Pastimer wrote this issue I instantly felt what he is talking about and I feel the same way.

I sometimes want to just check if everything is alright [squad, changes etc.] so I don't want to automatically go to squad setting, it's a minor issue, but I'd rather it work differently, with general overview as "main view" instead od squad view

but do you rather open Match Settings to check if everything is ok or to set the settings?
because from my point of view users enter the view to set the match settings and that is the reason why the Squad view is opened initially
I, personally, go to General/Orders view like 1 on 10 visits in the Match Settings
And I am almost 100% percent sure that even if I would report this as a problem (and I still don't see the reason why should I) no one will do anything about it, because I already reported real problems/improvements to that view a long time ago and nothing was done. And maybe rightly, because it's just temporary view and will be sooner or later replaced with a page more compatible with the new sokker pages (and possibly improved with some functionalities) so why to waste time on it?

The real problem is not the Squad tab but the popup warning about losing changes when there are no changes at all

before even the view was introduced I suggested to remove that popup but Raul didn't mind, so it is as it is

kryminator,
I think there are more users as you, who goes only like 1 of 10 times to general view, but you can see my arguments get +'s so there are more users who feel the same way.
Although i don't understand how in the hell you go to general form only 1 in 10 times. If you are not making subs, then ok, but if you have to make subs, this is so important. From squad form you can't see anything.
We all agree this is a minor inconvenience. Of course this would take like 1 minute to change this redirection at the end of the link "squadform" need to change to "generalform" and that is it.
Also I agree to Terrion. if there is no changes done, pop up shouldn't be active

I know there are more users than me, but there is also no proof that the General view is used more often.
I think that even that 1 out of 10 is an exaggeration in my case. I just enter there to set the squad for a match, click ok/accept/whatever and that is all. In some cases I might visit Orders view to prepare substitutions so trainees would get some additional training but it's rare as they usually play on Friday only.

definitely more often to check if everything is sure or to make changes in substitutions etc.
it should go to overview so you can decide what you want to do - just check overview, make lineup changes or make substitution changes
it's annoying that every time if you want to exit the lineup setting to check overview/make subs changes, there's a prompt if you're sure that you want to leave the settings screen
