Hi !
Is there a specific logic behind player ratings in the game?
How is this even possible:
2025-04-12 Slovenija - Bosna i Herce... 2:1 97 GK 0% 0% ?

From 3 shots, 2 goals recieved, gk rating at 97.
My question, what sits behind the player rating, especially with 0% ATT and 0% DEF at the game ?

His last club game with 0% ATT and 0% DEF was this like, with a 42 rating: 2025-02-28 F.C. Manch... - Pinheiros PR 18:0 42 GK 0% 0%

the 42 rating he probably didn't touch the ball

today he had contact with the ball but didn't do much

and "performance" like goals, scoring ration, passing %, tackles made, saves made, goals lost etc. have 0 impact on the match ratings

it's only about skills/form and their relation to off%/def% + higher rating if subbed off/on

if you look at GK ratings they usually have 0% DEF because it's mostly (or only) about tackles

and the GKs have %OFF because they make passes / goal kicks but it's not important to their rating

so the result and performance of GK don't matter, it only matters if he touches the ball / does anything during game

yeah man, I don't know about that skills part.

We've spoken about this before, but my team's been under-skilled in all midfield and attacker positions my entire run in ML so far. Even now my ratings are in the upper 60s and my team is absolute dog crap now.

The match engine scores seem biased towards well rounded players, like a guy who is 5x13 midfielder will get a similar rating to a 3x15 in midfield skills. Assuming similar form, over time.

This is probably true I think. Over time I've seen players for example who are 2x Divine defenders but only have say solid or very good side skills, and their rating will be low to mid 50's. Then a more well rounded def that's 2x Brilliant but with formidable side skills can be mid 60's

Thats because thats what the original developers of the game believe players should have looked like. They didnt believe to always have maxed primaries and then secondaries for the rest depending talent/player skills...... you could see this when they made players themselves for the World Cup promotion..... i think it was something like 16-15 pace-def Sergio Ramos had, but secondaries around brilliant and striker incredible..... and many defs had striker, strikers were multiskilled too but not maxed..... but yes, it is as borkos said, just a matter of what preferences of skills the rating is made off...
