Coach retirement is still a while away.

There will be no single age; instead, as the age increases, the likelihood of leaving will increase.
But without the slightest doubt, for 100-year-olds the risk of leaving will be 100%.

The decision of each coach will be announced in advance in order to have time to appoint a successor.

You will be able to build a retirement/rest/nursing facilities for 2m €.

Are you planning to reset the age of coaches when you introduce retirement? Because almost all coaches now are at retirement age.

2024-06-13 10:25:24
And what about competitiveness? Do you plan to do anything about that or are we still forced to five up on results and play corner tactics?

don't count on that, they want to delete money from the system this way

it will suck out billions out of the game

that sucks

It needs to be done, wealth accumulation across the game has gone unchecked for way too long. Still, more will need to be done because coaches are still going to have 25-30 season long careers.

Well the problem is that when you really think about it, then any kind of deflation will actually hurt new/small/medium/playing for trophies teams and it will make the rich even richer :-)

The reason is very simple. Let's say I have 200m euro on my account. If there's a deflation then it will make the money on my account worth more and thus I will be able to buy more or better for the same amount that I have. Suddenly my current 200m euro is worth 250m euro in the new economy. The "wealth accumulating team" loses nothing.

Now from others' perspective

a. new/small team - with more money on the market, it's possible for such team to sell for more and make a bigger profit on training.
The important thing here is that most expenses for a team are fixed - so it doesn't matter that player prices went up, such team still has to pay same amount for improving stadium, better coaches, opening youth school. Expenses are frozen, while the income improved because of higher player prices (easier to make money).
Now, if the prices drop, small teams will make less money on training, so their income will drop, but the team expenses will stay the same. In other words, such teams will be able to afford less than they can now.
Honestly for new/small teams an inflation is the best possible thing in this game.

b. big teams fighting for trophies - the value of their team will drop, it will be harder for them to rebuild after their team reaches the age limit.

c. teams that bought high level youths to train them for themselves - suddenly youths that they paid for 15m or 20m euro are worth less than when they bought them.

Inflation is good for the poor? That's a new one. Trickle down economics has proven to be nonsense. It may help a lucky few but for most, they're priced out of the market.
I've been out of this game for a long time so I don't know if adjustments have been made, but has income ever been adjusted to deal with market inflation? Financially, starting this game in 2023 is much, much harder than it was in 2005.

I see its a cash burning idea but everyone who are investing right now millions for a slightly better coach would not be happy - especially when they realize that some of us know it in advance from the forum.

At least they should announce it asap in Dev Diary.

Yes, inflation is good for the new/small but active. For the inactive/burning money users nothing is good.

Trickle down economics has proven to be nonsense.

Because in real world the inflation has an effect on the prices/expenses. In sokker it doesn't, it affects only the transfer market, while the prices/expenses stay the same.

The biggest problem for new/small teams are the basics. Improving stadium, getting and affording weekly expenses for a decent coach & assistants, opening a youth school, affording wages of better players. When you get the basics done, the game becomes much easier. All of these expenses are fixed. So tell me is it easier to afford them when you can sell your player for 500k or 1m?

Financially, starting this game in 2023 is much, much harder than it was in 2005.

Oh I doubt that, I don't see a reason why would it be harder. It's actually much easier. There are teams in Poland that get to top level after 2 years. That's very fast, it was impossible to improve that fast in the first years of the game.

they're priced out of the market

How...? They are in a different market. Rich people buying 16yo youths for 20m euro has no negative effects for a small/new team. That team was always unable to buy the top players. At the same time you can now buy 16yos with high potential and very fast make 10x/20x the price you paid for them.

It was announced at least 2 years ago in DD that they will start "killing" the coaches one day.
