Is it possible to manipulate form by buying Tragic form players and essentially letting them take the hit? If the game engine trends form towards the middle range, having a group to drag form down would allow others to raise.

Is it possible to manipulate form. Kind of but not really.

Is buying a whole bunch of tragics to bring your squad average down a way to get others to rise? I think that is delusional. I don’t believe form of one player is dependent on form of other players in the squad. Form has to be independent for each player based on their own factors like match time, position and who knows what else on that rng mess.

It certainly should be individual but what I'm seeing is certain clubs holding onto terrible, out of form players that should have been sacked long ago, and yet their first team players are all averaging Outstanding or above.

People often keep their old stars so they don't get deleted. I have a 80yo player, who was my first star (reached divine-divine-brilliant), I've bought him as a 18yo during my first season for all I had (he was 10-8-0 or 10-8-1 from what I rembember).

Someone tried buying many tragic form players but it had no visible influence on the form of the rest of his team.

Can confirm, bought 20+ players with form max 2, replaced when one popped higher than 4. Kep them for 1,5 month, no influence on first team low form players

If you buy a player with tragic form, his form can only go up and your main player can drop so that doesn't automatically mean your staters will keep or raise their form

I understand that, but if I had 5 first team players in really low form, then I would expect them to go up (especially that they were playing matches)

Perhaps the experiment can work by buying older players with high form, to feed the rest as they decline due to inactivity.

I think it's just witchcraft. We're all at the mercy of rng

I have a player with a 7 day injury today.
He is able to play and I can even confirm the game orders with him playing.

My problem is that at the training page, he is still showing as injured and no % is appearing (should be showing 50%).

If he plays today, will he receive training or not?! Is there any chance that he could play and not receive training??

He will not receive training tomorrow

Ed. And to answer your follow-up question how it is possible that he can play but not train:
welcome to sokker where logic is a sci-fi concept.

Defender doesn't make any difference in the overall playing of a mid or striker. Off course, if that player males a tackle, the chance for that to succeed will be higher, but no...h won't be a better striker as in scoring goals, or a better mid, as in dribble players or pass a ball...
PM actually does exactly that on top of widening his playing field (ratio) and increase the speed of his decision making. He even runs faster! Why are wingers often faster than defenders? PM...
Passing...the same. Without PM, it's often a useless skill.
Defending...he will make the tackle faster and more precise if he's playing with def order. PM ads to the positioning of the player in the tactic.
And as a striker...well...he will indeed make decision faster. And for your example of the striker with magical PM that makes bad decision... I had one, like 10 irl years ago too...playing exactly as you said. But later I realised that he was just considering his chances to score the goal vs passing the ball. I realised that you need to have a tactic in which that type of striker will excell his playstyle. Make sure he has support to pass to, and doesn't play on an island, and you'll come a long way.

Is anyone paying for pitch maintenance? When I open anyone's stadium, it says 0% maintenance (i was checking CC teams). I thought that it's maybe hidden, but i am not sure.. However, I guess it's supposed to lower injuries risk?
2024-05-05 13:16:34
Pitch condition is responsible for that (less than 50 or 51 = higher injury risk) and pitch maintenance is responsible for improving speed of pitch condition recovery. However, usually users have the best pitch type/grass (angel grass or sth like that) which in many cases is good enough all by itself to regenerate pitch condition after matches assuming owner is more picky when arranging friendlies to not play them at home everytime.

I'm always playing friendlies at home, never paid anything for pitch maintenance and never had any problems with pitch condition.

Played last league and last friendly at my stadium, still 83% condition.
