And it was said on CNN already.
One small step for a man, one giant leap for Ferrari. I'm very happy with Michael Schumacher. Come on! Can't wait for the GP in Valencia, in ... 3,5 weeks. Damned.

he's old....and he doesn't drive a f1 car since 3years
2009-07-29 19:57:29
Same here. It`s as comparable as Micheal Jordan doing another come back:)

It will the first time this year I will watch the qualification and also probably the whole race.

Wonders do happen
2009-07-29 20:44:25
still red bull will win this year :)

He drove the last years' Ferrari, and he drove a car built by the current rules - but he didn't drive the actual F60.

to drive a car for one day and to get confident enough to make a race are different things...
2009-07-29 23:08:55
Gené and Badoer haven't driven the car too much either since ther's no testing mid-season. From these three, Schumacher is the best option IMO.
2009-07-29 23:09:02
I don't know but ... this is a 7-time world champion. If he hasn't got confidence ...

You can't compare this with another comeback of Michael Jordan, you should compare it with Lance Armstrong: didn't participate for 3 years, in the sport he dominated for years. He was third in the Tour de France.

And most important is HE IS THE STIG :D

Well Schumacher is the long waited positive news for ferrari this year. Their season has been a DISASTER for ferrari. I am sure they pay him good money for this appearance. I think it has nothing to do with the performance. Michael will not be better than their reserve pilot, but their reserve pilot brings no news, while Michael really got the journalists running now.

This is like Maradona playing once more for Argentina: even if he's 80 and the idea is stupid, I get this irrational feeling of confidence and infinite joy :P
