Most Hollywood movies are predictable to be more precise ;)

Just finished watching Attack the Block (2011), what a waste of my time :P Gave it a 3 on IMDB. And that terrible shit music called rap during the movies didn't do it any good either ...

And lets be honest now. Without Hollywood movies the industry of films would suck.

Depends what you like, if it's explosions, stunts etc. in 3d then most certainly, yes.

We can't discuss 'taste' as everyone like different things, but I think a lot of those movies can be skipped ;)

And in euro/asian movies there are no stunts or explosions? Hollywood produces films for different tastes, like any other country/company. Hollywood creates lot of crap, so does any other part of the world...

Are you one of these so called über intelligent people who think that people who like stunts, explosions, entertainment are low intelligent people and these movies are waste of time?

Thing with hollywood is they have more money to throw at things so can make effectively bigger crap. All other film industries don't have the same kind of money so there often ends up being the same sort of thing just done on a smaller scale.

I'm just saying that Holywood is good mostly for action, hero, fantasy etc. movies because of high budgets

you won't get that in Europe, but Europe has many great types of movies of different genres

waste of time...yeah, for me most of them are a waste of time, though I like to watch such easy movies from time to time when I'm exhausted after a hard week etc.
2012-01-16 21:52:25
I like how they have spent their money on making Expendables and A-team:)
2012-01-16 22:21:02
I read that there will be a new version of Scarface. I fear it will be crap.
2012-01-16 22:51:44
The third version of that incidentally.

War Of The Worlds

I assume Tom Cruise version rather than the older one?
2012-01-16 23:04:43
Tom Cruise version indeed

haven't seen the old one yet. Not planning to either, after seeing the new version. It's not the acting that annoys me, it's the story, and I guess the story in the old one will be pretty similar?

The definitive version for me has always been the musical (Jeff Wayne). I have watched the older one, but I really can't remember much about it (usually you only remember films that are really good or really bad so it must have been middle of the road).

I really like a lot of the older movies, often (much) better as the remakes. And the stories often differ a lot and really can't be compared to each other. I think I haven't seen the 1953 version yet, will do it soon :)

Just watched Pandorum but half way I remembered I had already seen it ones :P Was ok but not great, gave it a 6 on IMDB.
