A "good" youth doesn't mean he will have some "good" stats. it means his overall/average skill will be at a certain level.

so if you pulled two players who were at equal skill lvl, one might have a single high skill, say solid, and not much else. the other might have 4 skills at average and weak.

I thank you for reply first, but I thought like you, however the facts were not matched with your and my expectations.
those two have no high skills at all..even weak..^^;;

?
from what you said earlier:
I recruited two good skill level players but they don't have any skills with good, but have som average skills and adquate skills.

if you wanted, you could post your guys skills here and tell us exactly what level they were in the youth system when pulled. that would give us a better idea on what you are saying.

Also, i believe the experts here are RedJim and Woppa, they've been collecting data on youth pulls i believe, maybe they can help a bit more.

I just churn them out :)

Redjim has all the data.

Basically...A "good" youth is better than an "adequate" youth. It's on a totally different scale from the abilities your players have. A good youth might have zero good skills (likely). He might be a keeper (restricted to fewer skills as they are contracted), though and be half decent.

Sorry to rain on the parade, but I've only been keeping a record of the age, average youth level and the price they get sold at. The aim is to stick an excel spreadsheet up which lets people bang in the numbers when they first get a junior and be able to work out their potential profit/loss in keeping him, bearing in mind talent and coach skill etc.

For what it's worth I think "good" is the minimum level it's worth pulling a youth player at - even then you'll not get much for the player, unless he's a keeper. I thnk it'd be pretty unlikely to get a "good" player who was better than average or so in any one skill, unless he was rubbish at all the others.

Makes good sense that

:)

so you want us to also post how much the players sell for?

and i take it if we train them a week or two and they pop before we sell, they shouldn't count towards the research.
2005-06-21 15:32:24
No it's ok - I bookmark them and record the price if they're sold within a week. Otherwise I don't bother, like you say, there's no point in recording it if they've been trained as it's not going to be representative.

What's the most untalented juniors leveling rate. I've got a guy who hasn't shifted yet in nine weeks!
