i guess it's hard to say wheter there are "max levels" with the random youth system today, or at least it was easier with the old linear system.

If you look at one of my 16 YO - he was at level 9 - nine! weeks ago and 13 more weeks to go (yes he will be early 17YO when he arrives) his curve (last 11 weeks) looks like this:

6-8-9-8-6-7-8-8-8-9-6-8

and as I said - 4 more weeks to go.
I had REALLY big hopes nine weeks ago but now :(

..and you're right with "overall" at least I understood what u meant :)

EDIT: what I meant was. he could join the team as a level 10 - but he still is a level 7 or 8.
EDIT 2: From level 6 to level 8 in 11 weeks - is he a 5/5.5 talent? Hard to say but I guess not, I still Believe he is a Little bit better than that.

but i thought a unearthly junior would be a 2.5 a week train popper? and a formidable junior more like a 4 week.

A high junior level guarantees talent, but that is not to say that any other junior could be just as talented. IE a junior in junior school for 1 week as tragic could still be the most talented player in SK. Junior level does not equal talent, they are two separate things.

Yes i no but we don't care so much for those lesser skilled or gonna be older 1's.

So an Unearthly does = a 2.5 a week popper at 18yo in all skills bar pace and stamina with top coaches trained in right position.

As it would take till 18yo to get to unearthly in junior school thats the 18yo 2.5 pop (Summerfield)

16yo 'overall skill' max i've seen Excellent (10) (Honeybun) = 2.5 pop? (i would have thought so)

17yo 'overall skill' max i've seen outstanding (12) 2.5 week popper? or has someone seen a incredible (13) 17yo in there school? (the week they leave not 17yo going to be 18yo when leaving)

That's all a no if junior level has nothing to do with talent ... it's how long he takes to pop be it hopeless to very good but i am only talking best juniors, so you are saying a 18yo unearthly junior leaving school could take 3-4 weeks to pop? then this is all ludacris! sod trying to explain anything to anybody lol
