England - Scotland 2:3

Unfortunately I didn't manage to watch this match in Scotland....watching it today and looking at the result, maybe it's also better that I didn't watch it.
When I set the tactics for this match I wanted to approach this match aggressively, playing with a good number of players up front, creating a lot of situations for myself under the rivals' goal.
We succeeded, created more than 20 situations with 18 shots and, again having an efficiency problem, only scored two goals.
I don't know why this is happening, we have the same strikers as Scotland, the same defenders and still we can't create that perfect situation for ourselves to score, I don't understand it :/
We lose two goals in 2 minutes, it has already happened once against Paraguay. I am very unhappy with this match and a big congratulations to the Scotland coach for the win.

A rematch and a plan for another 3 points in Group N time to start! The last match against Isreal ended in a modest 1:0 win in the last minute of the match! :)
I wouldn't mind if this match ended with a similar result.
Only I fear that there may be problems with our effectiveness. We have a few problems in the squad... But hopefully I can get this line-up sorted out by Saturday!
The friendly match against Scotland showed me quite a few aspects in tactics and it's time to make changes for the upcoming match.

England - Israel 3:2

One of the more exciting matches I've had in the NT. We won 3-2 after a tough clash with our opponent.
Two red cards in our team made a lot of opportunities for the opposing team.
We get our first red card in the 42nd minute, Mark Maddison punished with two yellow cards, Will Walcott comes on in his place and finishes the match with a red card in the 62nd minute - wow.
This means that for the next 30 minutes of the match we have a hole in the defence, which the opposing team immediately exploits by scoring another two goals for themselves.
Everything ends well, and it's another match where we have one-on-one situations with the GK and we don't take advantage of ANY of them.
Happy with 3 points for us! ❤

A one-match advantage over Serbia, I would like this group to look like this at the end. Everything will probably depend on the direct match against Serbia.

Just win each game and take it a game at a time….they may drop points.

I don't want to wish anyone bad... but right now I wouldn't be offended to see the rivals in our group drop points :p
Yesterday our team's best player got injured, a big loss for the upcoming game - Alan Matthews [37313391]

At least it will be just 1 game missed rather than 2.

True and if I'm to look for any positives in this situation, it's a good thing it's a friendly match next :-)

The third friendly match and the last one of the season. We had some pretty decent rivals, worth mentioning again: Uruguay, Scotland and now Belgium.
We have significant problems in every line of formation. Cards, injuries and even the form of the players - it may not be ideal.... But I will do everything to win this match.
They are in excellent form this season winning eight games out of nine.
Belgium are currently in an identical situation to us in the five-team group, losing their first match to Greece and then building up a nice goal balance. They are a contender who definitely have a good chance of a medal at the World Cup. It promises to be a tough match to which you are all welcome! England!! ❤

I don't even know where to start... I misjudged Belgium's coach and misplaced the side of the defence (please watch at least 2-3 minutes to know what I'm talking about).
The whole game looked comical, our whole defence stood on the wrong side of the field. Which provided ample opportunities for the Belgian players.
This match confirms my belief that playing 4 defenders in the senior NT is wrong. The positioning of our winger was key to this match today, he was our player of the match by far along with our GK.
I have complained about the effectiveness in every match.... and we scored 4 goals out of 9 shots - 44.5% efficiency. If I had set up the defence well, I have a feeling the rival wouldn't have even had a shot :)
I am happy with the result, a little less with the game. England!! ❤
