I don't even know where to start... I misjudged Belgium's coach and misplaced the side of the defence (please watch at least 2-3 minutes to know what I'm talking about).
The whole game looked comical, our whole defence stood on the wrong side of the field. Which provided ample opportunities for the Belgian players.
This match confirms my belief that playing 4 defenders in the senior NT is wrong. The positioning of our winger was key to this match today, he was our player of the match by far along with our GK.
I have complained about the effectiveness in every match.... and we scored 4 goals out of 9 shots - 44.5% efficiency. If I had set up the defence well, I have a feeling the rival wouldn't have even had a shot :)
I am happy with the result, a little less with the game. England!! ❤

Paraguay - England

We are at that stage where every match is very important. The problems from the previous match, i.e. injuries and cards, are gone.
So we are in a good position. The players' forms are decent and hopefully the return match against Paraguay will turn out to be a good match for us.
I watched Paraguay's match against Serbia several times and to this day I cannot understand how that match ended 6-2.
Hopefully we will have a similar efficiency to Serbia from the last match, because that's all I'm asking for. I'm not afraid for the situations, I'm afraid for the effectiveness - as always ;-)
I'm hoping for 3 points! ❤

A very good day for England, we won confidently against Paraguay scoring 6 goals taking 22 shots. If someone didn't watch this match they would say this is a good result. However, all those actions we created for ourselves under the rivals' goal should have stayed in goal.
It could have been better... but it is good! Even very good, because in addition to our good result. All the results from the other groups are in favour of England.
Panama, Uruguay and Ukraine share the points and this means that we now still have a chance to advance if we lose. Of course, nobody here wants to lose.... But it's a very good situation for England!

We are in a very good situation, below I paste all the top 2 places from the 5 team groups + we win by points against the Azerbaijan team who played 8 matches and scored 13 points.
We have a four-point lead over Panama and this means that the match against Sakartvelo will be the match for promotion to the World Cup :-)
