Onderwerp: Season 63

I feel like we need a new topic to distract from the one that became very 'popular' (read this as a daily mail quote) over the last few days. A new season starts, new teams in each league, new players, new plans. But the question is: is everyone ready? And if and when you are, what are your predictions?

Mine are:
Premier will be won by Thamesmead (yep, call me Sherlock). And for relegation I 'nominate' Kowal, Colne, Boston, Fenland, Polska and Schadenfreude.
My league will be won by Timisoara (theoretically, although they seem to have a more economical goal and might drop at some point). I should finish second or third. Or fourth. Or fifth. I think Beer, Bramley, Millwall, Chropo, Welling and Warta will be in the relegation mix.

Overall, I hope I will turn games into wins, train those young players that I included in my squad and over the season (the main goal) bring players in and drop the average wage but not the quality.

Timisoara have a lot of very good players, but not the results to back it up. Thought they might coast to II title last season but didn't make the top 2.

I'm guessing you like Polish Boston's youth policy hence being nominated twice?

I need to do further rejigging of my side as some of the first teamers are 31/32 so at the start of their decline.

I noticed too lol. I replaced Boston 2 with Schadenfreude. Great team but once again selling players.
Yep, I was going through Kingsway's transfer history earlier too. Millions of pounds thrown on 30+ years old players. I don't get it. Boston was at under 60 rating last season, I don't think they will cope with the Premier. Esp that players are ageing.

You're in a great position to do it, you've got young players coming from behind and a league in which you can easily stay up.

You underestimate yourself, you should finish high. I don't know what you're planning to sell/buy but atm you shouldn't worry.

Kingsway would be a better side if it was not for playing a near default tactic. Simply put at the top level, 3 at the back spread out that far you are going to leak goals.

Yours is more or less a back 5. Theirs is definitely a back 3.

Or injury subbing a striker etc on. Especially the one in the middle.

With good pace, good positioning and tactical discipline a back 3 would not be an issue. Kingsway is doing well from this point of view but I guess the age and the positioning are going to create problems in the end.

In II they concede 1 score 2. In the prem they score 1 but concede 3.

Been looking at The Stiffs. They're also good. Some players bought for nothing and trained into really good players. A few oldies (as you do) but strong team. I should probably stop looking, my level of stress is increasing. Swamp Monsters is in there too. Nice league though, should be really poised. Or Timisoara running away with it.

But I think the top 6 will be unchanged as a block. The order is difficult to predict. Same in the Premier, pretty difficult to predict from 2nd place down.

One of my tactics is a clear back 3... but my other one I use for wingers is like a 5 ;)

Have you bought 5 38 yr olds yet? :)

looking at two 44 years old... Gonna be the envy of all haha!!!

(I'm talking about sokker players, just in case anyone else thinks otherwise)
