This thread should be closed!

It sent me down the rabbit hole once and wasted more than £2mil. And I came back with nothing. Wonderland was full of expensive magical coaches and lots of outstanding ones. Alice was not my type and Jonny Depp never heard of Luton Town. Don't recommend!

In summation if you're paying for keeper skills, you're overpaying. Keeper skills cost roughly 3 times any other skill and between 12-15k if you go Unearthly.

Not a waste if training up a GK though. In the past arguable a waste but these days not so much.
2024-02-21 22:07:29
These days it doesn't really make sense to train GKs, it's better to buy a 25yo+ ready product and train on different positions

Selling a superdivine GK with formidable+ pace at age 20-22 does bring decent money (around 6.5-7.5m euro) although due to the GK weekly wage + additional coach wage due to GK skill... the profit will be much lower than it seems

Total cost to train a keeper to Divine over 5 seasons is roughly 1.5mil, plus transfer fee. Which sounds reasonable until you factor in that training slot could go to someone else who won't sell for quite as much, but will cost much less.

If everyone stops training GKs, then GK value will go up.

I've never really understood why coaches that train GK require more wage. If anything if one coach skill was to require more wage you would think it would be the universal skill of pace that ups it.

That one is very helpful.

I've been working under the assumption that Stamina might be acting as a multiplier of other skill values but it seems that's not the case. Each skill (apart from Keeping) to Unearthly seems to be worth £3600, but the rate they increase at differs quite a bit and isn't a stable increment. Some seem to flatten out as they reach the top wage.

Are you factoring in sub levels aswell? Because there does appear to be sub levels even with coaches just less obvious than say players.
2024-02-22 21:57:04
I've seen practically no evidence of sub-levels amongst Coaches, apart from 1 example of the 2 x8's. With every other data sample, they always match up when the skill levels are the same. That's actually the reason I'm using coach data, because it's not subject to training or form in the same way player valuations are.

It'll become clearer as more data samples are collected, but right now, nothing.

Actually it's entirely possible that the sub-levels are actually the Stamina multiplier I mentioned earlier. Because of the data-set I'm using to start with (Only Unearthly Stamina), it could be that the formula changes when I move down to lower Stamina.
2024-02-23 07:32:38
But why? What are you trying to achieve? And what the heck is a sub-level? What are you guys on about?
2024-02-23 11:01:43
Personally I just want the formula information and I like the challenge of the puzzle.
A sub-level would be the idea that a Magical coach isn't a 15 and could instead be a 15.8 or 15.5. Personally I don't think that happens with coaches.

The value of the information is in having the completed formula and being about to use it when buying players, so you can tell what their skills are to a higher accuracy.
