Your choice is a mistake. The last choice was also wrong. Unless the results are not important to you.

Of course the results are important to me, and to everyone else. Last election you were not a choice were you? The season before you were not active, and you suggested you would step down at the end of the season? Last season we had a choice from Legolas or another manager that we did not know, Legolas is a good manager but had a bad season here for whatever reason.....I can't fully comment as I did not watch the games because I was personally very busy in real life with house extensions, work and other things. :)

1) Do you feel you will have time for the role.
2) Do you have people that will help such as scouts or do you feel they are't necessary now?

Hello, I'm happy to tell you more, it's nice that you ask and are interested.

1) Do you feel you will have time for the role.
I think I can easily find enough time and even have it in reserve. Currently in the club game I have moved to the renewal phase through junior training and don't have many tasks other than checking the greens on Thursday:)
And as for potential opportunities - I work on a computer, manage my own time and have no young children or animal farm at home. I don't worry about time.
Of course I will go on some holiday, but still with access to the Internet.

2) Do you have people that will help such as scouts or do you feel they are't necessary now?
The role of scouts has diminished significantly since more tools and the ability to preview players' skills became available. Regardless of this, I would be happy to cooperate with willing, active members of your community, to benefit from your knowledge and experience if you are willing to share it with me - I, personally, remain open-minded, including on issues other than directly related to NT.

3) How will you involve the community?
Above all, I would like every match to be a certain event. There will always be a chance to ask me a few questions before and after the match, and I will also write a few sentences from myself.
There will also be an opportunity for periodic reviews, making plans and evaluating their fulfilment - here I am counting on your constructive opinions.
I would also like to talk openly about the needs of the national team and I am happy to support the selection and development of players.
In addition, I will be happy to share news from the SK world with you. Of course, being a professional, I won't be able to give away secrets - but it's always good to have Dev available for additional questions ;)

4) Will you co-operate with the U21 manager on players etc?
It always depends on both parties. Of course, being part of your community, I am happy to help with meeting preparations, analysis and tactics.
As my main task, however, I will analyse potential and identify needs so that the U21 coach can channel the development of his players - if he can reach an agreement with their owners, of course.
I have always made intensive use of federations like the England Association and I hope that will be the case this time too.

5) What are you aims and aspirations for the NT this season?
• The main goal for the first season is to advance to the World Cup finals - any other result would be a big disappointment and failure.
• At the same time, I'd like England to set tough conditions for the team drawn from the first basket of the qualifying group. Even if we are not the favourites, I would like a serious fight for points.
• While pursuing the above goals, I also see the need to improve the national team's ranking position. The current 31st position is unacceptable, a rise of 5-10 positions during first season is my minimum goal.

6) What are your past achievements within NT sides and with which countries?

Slovenia - my first adventure with the national team. I managed to advance with this small sokker country to the finals of the World Cup in season 10, after which they succeeded only once.

Canada - I have very fond memories of this national team. In the two seasons I was there, they managed to build a good atmosphere and quite a strong team. I significantly improved its ranking and handed over the reins to Brokus when I took over the Polish national team myself. On these foundations the team advanced to the World Cup.

Poland - I took it at a time when competition for the position was enormous, measuring myself against the best managers of the time. There were 150 candidates alone, and I won by getting 455 votes. I led the national team for a season, and using its huge sporting advantage I was able to organize numerous competitions and "theme" matches and at the same time win matches. I think I was then able to create a very attractive environment for this "constant boring winning."

Scotland - my latest adventure so far. Of the most interesting events are the matches in the UK. Against England (1-2 and 2-2), Wales (1-1), Ireland (6-1). Shortly after me, my good friend Krikos took over the national team, winning silver at the World Cup.

So I have a question (that I'll be posting in the other thread).

It seems like the major problem we have with the national team right now is the defence. If we don't have the players for that position, how do you plan to manage this?

Time for a first analysis.

The group looked fairly easy at first glance.
But on closer inspection this turns out to be a mistake.
There are several factors that make this a fatal draw.

Firstly - Hellas, who are seemingly not highly ranked, one of the lower ranked teams in basket 1 - are playing for few points higher than England.
I sustain that against such rivals we have to fight for points - but contrary to what Aligator says - we are not favourites. 3/6 points against Greece would be a result to be welcomed.


The USA - a team ranked towards the end of the top 50, but making progress and ratings not much behind us - they probably look at England the way we look at Greece....
A complete of points against the USA is of course our goal but certainly a difficult one to achieve.


Shqipëria can also play ~77-78 and can cause trouble.


And most importantly, the group drawn has five teams which means that only the winner is likely to advance.... Remember that the teams from 15 out of 17 groups will be promoted from the 2nd place... which means that the 2 with the lowest number of points will not advance... and having a smaller group there are automatically fewer points.



But what else can happen?

Perhaps the groups will be drawn again excluding countries with no active players.
Then we would get 16 groups of 6 teams each and everything would be fairer.

Let's keep our fingers crossed that the production DEVs will have time to deal with this....

Games against the bottom teams in groups of 6 shouldn't count. Problem solved.

I asked our production for this a few seasons ago- without success

Hellas I'm not saying we are the favorites. I said we could get out of this group and advance further.

I admit that each group should have the same number of teams.
