Germany and Spain performed best in the matches played.

Real life football is var worse than this game, I mean we've gone from letting Maradona get away with it, when you could see on the big screens in the stadium on the replays, to the ball hitting a finger not moving it's trajectory = no goal = var less goals, does not resemble a beautiful game to me, you got loads of crowd going mad manager cheering up and down touchline , then the same crowd booing var , then other cheering gutted it touched his finger hahaha we got away with that! then booing at end of game for being ripped off from an =, it's hard to watch it, i think i'll do something else instead
maybe all premiership sides have to cut there arms of under the shoulder ffs

Definitely, both goals would have been considered correct in '80.

Like you, I have mixed feelings:
1. in the case of off-sides looking for the furthest part of the body.... is an exaggeration, they should count either the posture foot or whistle only if there is a gap between the players.

2. in the case of a hand such as this one.... well I don't know, I couldn't see all the angles... but it seemed that the ball didn't change direction.... so I would also let go... also after VAR... but the referee didn't have the balls :(

And what has VAR broken down the most?
The joy of a goal... as much at the Euros as in the Premier League, for example.... a player scores... and waits 2 minutes before he can enjoy - there is no spontaneity.

Poland played well. Germany and Spain looked the best, but I’m unsure how much of that was down to how bad the opposition were. I really like how quick VAR decisions are compared to the bloody Premier League!

What a first half

It looked poor in the first half.
Maybe some changes at the halftime?
I would have put Kobbie and Cole on the pitch and changed the tactics of the midfield.

Players are not the problem. The manager, his attitude and tactics are.

But you can't change manager at halftime ;)

Anyway, that's why I would like to let these two in. They have had the least amount of training with Gareth ;)

Gareth Southgate is the international David Moyes of management.

Indeed. From the middle and further England has one of the best and widest squads in the Euro (I’m not a fan of Trippier as LB). At the same time England is one of the most boring teams at the tournament so far, what they did after Kane’s goal was terrible.

I cannot disagree with a word you said…….we should be playing so much better with the talent we have! It’s purely in the manager, he is far too negative……..which is how it was for us at West Ham under David Moyes.

As soon as England scored today I said to my son I bet we just sit back now……and we did.

Oh and Trippier couldn’t get in the Newcastle team, so how he’s playing left back for England is weird…..we needed an actual left footer at LB

What about Shaw? Will he be able to play in the next game?

I have no idea, but if he can't then we should have taken someone like Tyrick Mitchell who finished the season on fire.. Shaw will no doubt be rusty too after the time out injured!
