I apologize for not getting a game thread up. I recently switched jobs to one that gets very busy around the holidays and I've been swamped since Wednesday because of Easter.
I am going to write a proper recap with match ratings and replace this post with that after I have a nap and an adult beverage or three.
For those who didn't watch it was a brilliant match with a very disappointing 90th minute winner by Colombia. Down 3-0 after 14 minutes the boys really showed their backbone with a quick fightback that saw them equalize by the 38th minute! Seriously one of the best first halves I've seen, really competitive and open with chances flying around both ways.
We had chances to snatch a winner in the second half, but our defense tired (our best two defenders were injured for this match) and it was Colombia who dominated the last 10 minutes and eventually bagged the game winner in the final minute.
