Ok, so who do we know that has quit already? (Maybe a bot now or soon to go) Or has lost interest? Dagwood clearly is one.

Who is planning on quitting soon? My plus runds out in January, and unless the ME is changed to resemble the sport it is modeled after, I am gone at that time.

I don't think I'll quit just yet. I think I'll just sell up and relegate to C and try to find some scrubtastic B League to get into.

Yeah, I had two plans:
a) promote to ML. keep what I have. buy a trainee or two and try to stick around for a season or two.
b) don't promote. sell off everyone over the age of 22. have a roster of 12-14 stud 17-18 year olds.... fall out of A, and stick in B. train pace and check back every couple weeks.

I auto-promoted(somehow) and will give it at least 1 season in ML to see if I can stay up.

Yeah since I made ML I might as well stick around

I will warn you be careful of salaries. I did that myself two years ago and the loss of income from sponsors and the pissed off fans made it a struggle at first. Knowing what I know now, buy as many players with pace and tech, and focus on training one position and passing, then sell to fill other positions. I tried to cross train and it was fruitless. Just buy the strikers later (though training them is cheaper, but sadly you can only do 6)

my wages are pretty dang cheap right now so I'm not too worried about that...

but I am expected to get murdered this season

I'm just happy to be in the ML :)

I'm not anywhere near as active as I used to be and I'm not going to renew my plus when it expires, but not quitting yet.

The ME changes mean that all my old tactics aren't as effective and I don't have enough free time to figure out what works and what doesn't these days, so I'm treading water at best.

It would help if the tactics editor wasn't so freaking cumbersome, but it is. It takes like 20-30 minutes to design a new tactic and I'm lucky if I get that much time in an average day for ALL my online gaming.

ditto, Uriah.

no more plus. over time i'll get the ME figured out, or quit. But, i'm not leaving yet. I have to give it a serious try first.

The wages comment was for Ivy and his demotion issue...

I am probably one of the rare ones to say that I will be sticking to this game.

I am doing your plan B, Ivy.
I "tanked" a few seasons ago before the ME change and currently yield only a U23 team just for the sole purpose to train USA youths for NT.

i am very close to leave the game. Not sure what keeps me here.

I'm going to keep playing this game for a while yet. I've enjoyed the challenge of working my way up the ranks in my (relatively weak) b-league. I tried UM and didn't really like it and I don't see any other good soccer games out there. My only regret will be if a lot of other USA users quit making it less challenging to promote.

Is it? BOTs seem to stay up forever.

With people like Slammmy quitting and dagwood and some other real good managers going semi-active the mountaintop is probably easier to reach but it won't be as satisfying when (or if) we get there.

And if the new ME really has watered down the importance of tactics then the game has become less about skill, and that takes a lot of quality out of everything, imo.

I don't want to say too much about that since I'm not paying enough attention to judge it fairly, but I get the sense a lot of people feel this way.

I like Ivys plan :P thats where I'm at right now... I have like 5 gks and like 3-4 bought trainees and the rest are scrubs from my junior school. Well that is with 50M USD available... :P
