I even outshot blues brothers in the last game. His strikers just had a miracle day where they could put anything past a divine keeper :/

@hillsong - I started to write a long note agreeing with all you said, then was going to add more of my own, then realized, they DONT care.

NOTE- a couple of weeks ago the USA had 167 'users', now we are down to 152.

I see the tactic capabilities of this game are still second rate.

ultimatemanager is considerably better then this game on balance, but for whatever reason, it doesn't seem to stick with people. Maybe they just can't hack it?

- better tactic designer
- better injury and form management
- no injuries in friendlies regardless of shape (no lol 11 guys in a corner)
- no being stuck training one skill for only 6-10 players in one chosen skill, you train 11 and you can train them in any skill you wish. You can train defenders and keepers, forwards and midfielders, or some of everything if you can get the right trainers at the right times. Trainers you hire tend to have 2 or 3 skills that are worthwhile to use for training your team.

basically most of what I hated about sokker they don't do. I don't love everything about UM the match engine isn't flawless but it's fundamentally sound. If your tactics are good, your players developed properly, your team will do well. The upper level teams who quit usually do so because they built poorly and got where they were by default/being early. I've yet to have a match engine change radically be detrimental to my club, and I've been there for 5 full seasons now. I've lost all of 9 matches in league over that time.

The youth program is kinda meh compared to here, I'd say that's the real drawback. However I've found that with people being trainable til into their 24th year really...the youth school loses a lot of usefulness after about your 4th season or so.

Even though i have issues with Sokkers match engine.. & the useless & misplaced 'improvements'

I still think Sokker is a FAR Superior game than UM!! period..
so tired of people posting here trying to 'sell' that crappy game.. if its so good.. then you should have plenty of your own players sticking around.. stop trying to ruin the game play here!

I Tried UM for 2 seasons.. and didn't like it.. ESPECIALLY THE TACTICS! tactics are the Main reason i stayed here...(hence the frustration with the match engine.. lol)
I feel like this game is more challenging.. and takes a more unique approach..

UM is more streamlined.. and boring..
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!! Sokker.. Is a much better game!! not perfect, but UM sucks!

I just logged back in to see how this game was going. Down the crapper, I see. No surprise, this game saw its heyday 4 years ago.

Ok, honestly, I'm really happy for you that you found a game you consider to be superior to Sokker. However, posting this in the "Save Sokker USA" thread is inappropriate. There's already a 37 page thread in the "Freestyle USA" section as well as a 190 page thread in the "Freestyle International" section completely devoted to Ultimate Manager. I think the "Hey let's go play Ultimate Manager" cheer leading section has been pretty well played out. If you're going to register for the 3rd time for this game, don't do it just to spam another game. That's just annoying.

I don't consider one post spamming. I suspect most rational people wouldn't as well.

Second, this thread was DEAD. 6 weeks, dead.

Clearly, you folks are mad. Didn't seem to promote any activity among the remaining 50 of you though the past 6 weeks. That's not on me.

I seriously just came back to see how it was progressing. Good to see I could wake you all up. Sorry so many of you couldn't handle the increased responsibility of a more robust tactical and training system.

UM.. was much more simplistic.. i was undefeated fist season.. and lost once the second.. so i would say to simple for me.. I happen to prefer a more complex challenge than UM presented..

I gave half a thought of back up but most of the people I knew back when my club was good have already left. For obvious reasons to most people with half a brain.

If you thought UM was simpler, you were doing it wrong.
This game is much, much simpler then UM in every way but youth school/development. You won every game your first season becasue you played ALL BOTS. You know, like C league. Or B league here. Or even A. You can't autopilot with simple tactics in C leagues there. That's where every single person who's come over from Sokker has topped out. Everyone except Slammy and myself.

I don't care if people go back over there. I don't expect it being 5 of the remaining 8 of you have already tried it. There's a good reason your population is garbage now though when it wasn't 4 years ago. I just quit ahead of the curve :)
