Hey guys...

I have been away from the game for a couple months, but logged back in because I want to get back involved. Surprise, surprise, I'm going bankrupt...

Is there anything I can do to keep from getting my account deleted, since I'm involved again? I've already sacked all my expensive coaches, and put half my players up for sale, but it's telling me that something has to change in three days :(

Am I screwed?

Your player sales will be executed before your bankruptcy deadline. Therefore you should be fine ... as long as your players are sold for enough cash to get you under -500000 $.

You may want to put up some players that actually sell ... the 6 players you have on the transfer list now are not that "hot". Actually, the only player of some value of those 6 is probably Corneliu Cazanescu, age: 19 with very good keeper skills. But he has tragic pace ... greatly diminishing his potential.

Here's the pertinent section from the rules:

Bankruptcy

Teams that are about to declare bankruptcy (account balance less than -500 000 $) will be able to log on for 72 hours from the last log in.

This is to allow them to correct their bank balance - sell players, sack coaches etc. After 72 hours they cannot log in again, until the account balance improves sufficiently (account balance more than -500 000 $). If their account balance goes over that amount, they will then be able to log in as normal. However, if the account balance remains below -500 000 $ for a period of 14 days, the team will be formally bankrupt

well, will I be able to buy players again to restock my team, since I'm already bankrupt?

Will I have to wait the 50 days or whatever if my account gets shut down?

Sokker is just as much a game of economics as of soccer, so - after avoiding bankruptcy - you will have to somehow achieve a positive cash flow. If you manage that - after some time - you will be able to buy new players. Somewhere in old forum posts there are Newbie Guides that explain how to develop your team without bankrupting yourself. You do have enough young (which hopefully means trainable) players to afford selling off some additional player. I can't see your detailed numbers ... but you may only need to sell one good (!) player to get under the -500000 $ limit.

But if you let your team go bankrupt, you will have to wait 50 days before you can start all over again.

only a small fraction of the game is economics.. and i think its a stretch even calling it economics..its more of one dimensional cash model.. lol its much more detailed in the aspects of soccer than anything financial... just thought that opening sentence was funny.. "Sokker is just as much a game of economics as of soccer"

best of luck getting things back in order.. and contact the admins if you think your better off starting over.. im sure if you abandoned your team they wouldn't make you wait the 50 days.. and if your not a plus member.. just do it and dont log into the old team again.. you can always email them.. the only rule in sharing an ip address is no transactions among the two teams.. & if one goes bankrupt it wont exist in a couple weeks anyhow.. so no harm no foul!

I stand by my statement that "Sokker is just as much a game of economics as of soccer". You can tell from Smash's example how small - or not - the impact is of "economics" in this game. Call it "cash flow management", if you like this better. The result is the same: If you don't manage your team considering the economic contraints, you will not be successful ...

Smash,
I dont see any real value in the players you have on the transfer list.
go bankrupt, wait and join us soon.

He left the game for a couple months.. so of course his team developed cash issues.. but with tactics.. training..along with the variance of skill sets to align with your tactical decisions.. make it much more in depth on the sokker side.. imo :) IF your good at winning.. & training.. cash isn't much of an issue..
cheers
