Will you invest more in youth schools or are you giving up on it for now? I only saw 3 juniors here
2024-03-22 20:53:48
When this game gives me youth worth training, I will.
2024-03-22 21:03:50
I really don't like the way youth system is run here.

I'm not a gambler in real life, and I'm not here. I don't see the point in saving a potentially talented 18 year old coming in at average, who comes out at 20 at outstanding, only to be useless for sale because he's got 7 striking, 7 playmaking, 7 defense and 2 pace.

I'm only keeping players who will come (edit: out) as 18 year olds, and have some potential for talent. As soon as I am confident they lack talent, I fire them - unless they are close enough to finishing, which is the case (most likely) for two of the three coming out this season.

Is he a minority? I think you live in a parallel universe. You are the only one who sees progress in the USA, you are the minority. No Americans appeared on the forum talking about progress. It only exists inside your head.

Right, this is specifically why I am being selective in who I keep. Unless I think a player will return 100k for me, I simply fire them from the start.
2024-03-23 02:24:09
Ok, to be fair he is accurate about youth schools. Thanks in large part to norbert, this country does crank out kids.

I just think that the vast majority of owners keep all the trash players. Even funnier when they put these garbage athletes on the market, thinking someone wants a 26 skill 18 year old.
It is possible I could be losing a real talent doing the purging I do. As in, someone who starts at poor, finishes at formidable at age 19.5 with 3.5 talent. Then again, who's going to pay much for that? Perhaps enough to cover the training, sure. Much more?

Honestly, I'd prefer not to be reminded every week of the disappointing implementation of youth school in sokker - any more than I already do. It's a lottery, nothing more, nothing less. Necessary lottery, sure.
2024-03-23 05:58:30
this is basically what I get, week in, week out since starting it a season ago:

I'll keep the 18 year old just because it's only a few weeks, but no grand expectations here.
2024-03-23 12:02:45
True, he makes good use of youth schools.

But for example, I've seen his team achieve an average mark of 73.7 on his team. That in terms of personal teams is very good, much better than my team. But if we look at the USA, the USA has a better average mark.

I trained 10 Portuguese players from a young age. And of those 10, I think only 1 will play 90 minutes for Portugal one day.

In short... I don't think Adivip will produce 10 heroes that will change the USA, as the USA already has a good team. Of those 10, maybe 2 or 3 will help the team. In general, I think that a national team is the result of the contribution of different teams... because in 100 teams, there is always a star in one of those teams, who are indeed important. Work is important, but so is luck. And it's easier to find stars on 100 teams than on just 1... no matter how hard-working that 1 is. And that's why Adivip's team is inferior to the USA. It is absolutely normal for the Adivip team to be inferior to the USA, and it will always be that way.

Furthermore, 100 teams with 100 different coaches... will produce players with different characteristics. For example, 1 coach alone will produce 5 most similar defenders. This reduces the possibilities of choosing the national coach.

I'm mentioning this because from the games I saw from the USA, and from the statistics... I have a hunch that I would choose different defenders. And if Adivip trains his defenders to be like the defenders he likes, and if the choice is wrong, that's a problem. But this is just an opinion.

Wow, this is some creampuff fest here. Just like in real life.

edit: You do realize you're not going to meaningfully improve the status of our NT ranking by smacking around a bunch of patsies, right?
(gewijzigd)
2024-05-13 20:16:44
Have you noticed who we will play with? Probably against El Salvador (if the engine doesn't outplay it), which is currently in 54th place in the ranking, so if we win against them, we will improve the ranking, then we will probably face Mexico (the current defender of the title of the previous edition of GOLD CUP), which is currently in 42nd place in the ranking, so they are not weak opponents. With the current tournament reform, we do not encounter a "bunch of patsies".
2024-05-13 21:23:27
Yes. If I was the NT coach, I'd consider anything but victory a complete failure - unless something bizarre happened.

Our national team ranking is a joke, and it's why I have zero confidence in your ability to manage this team.
2024-05-13 22:00:08
If you look at the values of our players, you don't need to know their skills to see that, unfortunately, we do not currently have a good NT team and we need training and improving the shape of the best players, and we need to be less unlucky when it comes to injuries, because they are currently haunting us too, Unfortunately, at the moment we only have one world-class player and he is a defender, the rest of the team is not at the highest level.

I have already trained many national teams, including Indonesia, and our current level of team is not better than what I had in Indonesia.
