But of course in this tournament we will fight for victory and give our best

Will you run for election to any national team next season?

"If you look at the values of our players, you don't need to know their skills to see that, unfortunately, we do not currently have a good NT team and we need training and improving the shape of the best players, and we need to be less unlucky when it comes to injuries, because they are currently haunting us too, Unfortunately, at the moment we only have one world-class player and he is a defender, the rest of the team is not at the highest level."

OK, so this is actually a fair point. I looked at our values and we are equal or slightly behind smaller countries. This comes as a bit of a surprise for me, but I will grant you this.

Still, let me give you a very personal example:

On my team:

- I don't have a single divine defender on my team.
- My best striker, until last week, was a 41 point striker. He's being sold this hour. He was 14/14/13 at purchase.
- My goalkeeper, Cadoro? Entered ML last season as brilliant GK. Even today, he's barely into unearthly. I've got a first gen team and I made plenty of mistakes relearning the game.
- Midfield? I don't have a single unearthly skill on my team. I have ONE magical stat among them all. Mostly incredible and brilliant. Last season's midfield was even worse. I sold off two of last season's starter midfielders this season for about 50k combined.

I have effectively a good A league team. I'm 8th in ML value, and that's AFTER my 1.2 value striker purchase last week. Last season, I finished 5th with the 10th worst value team in the league.
Too much of 'value' goes into less relevant statistics like a defenders or strikers ability to have high pass and PM. On goalkeeper it's the opposite, it's GK and nothing else, even though we all know better. Then there's the strong effect form has on value.

Your mindset is one of weakness, in my view.
In your shoes, I would still expect 1st place and nothing less in this tournament. You've already got enough of this community convinced that 'because you train a bunch of USA kids' you should be NT coach for life, so, set some standards for yourself.

Yes, at some point I will run for the NT here. It won't be soon, though. ML is too much work right now to keep these results up. Especially when I get 2-3 nonsense results a season, like last Sunday night: https://www.youtube.com/v/RkgLG1AnhPw
Conveniently long 90th minute there.

I certainly won't be a coach here forever, I'm currently strongly developing the national team and that's what I'm focusing on, and I believe that every coach should train young players to develop the national team, but as you yourself noticed, form has a huge impact on the value, and our best players are without form. It has never been as bad as this season, and on top of that, there are injuries to key players, which is why more and more young players who are not yet fully developed are playing.

In the future, I would like one of you Americans to take over the national team after me, just like it is happening now in Indonesia :) Perhaps then he will play with players that I have trained :)
2024-05-14 19:16:38
Well, I certainly can't promise to train all Americans. Money and timing will play a role in this. I will certainly do what I can, however.

"Perhaps then he will play with players that I have trained"

I do identify with this. I started Israel U21 in a cup year and I had poorly constructed players for U21. Not poor players, but poor for competition. However, I revamped (as much as I could) the current Cup crop right now, and Jango (a fine manager in his own right) is off to a great start in group stage. I will be very proud of him and the nation if they manage to qualify out of group.

When I had a lot of injuries in Portugal, and bad form... I didn't just look and cry. I put a U27 team… because at least I was preparing for the future. I had average marks of 73, and yet, I didn't have such a bad ranking.

Yes, because in your case it's the administration's fault for failures... Aren't you crying? You are the only one crying, the administration is to blame for everything and everything... Stop it and save yourself the shame.

USA 3 - 4 Ísland

USA:
Average mark: 76.3
Shoots: 6
Ranking: 50th
Number of users: 103

Ísland:
Average mark: 70.3
Shoots: 9
Ranking: 53rd

Embarrassing. No matter how many injuries and bad form the USA has... the team is still much better than the opponent. Please! Play against teams from Pot 1 to avoid damaging the USA's ranking. This way you will lose fewer points. I'm sure everyone agrees that it's time to minimize damage until the elections. Please, I only ask you for this! Play against teams from Pot 1!

It wasn't a Gold Cup match, you're spamming the forum unnecessarily, no one wants you here, haven't you understood that yet?

Correction: nobody wants you.

Can you play against teams from Pot 1 to avoid further damaging the USA ranking?
2024-05-25 19:35:33
Congrats Adi!
2024-05-25 19:55:50
Thanks :) After a while, the most important players are back at the highest level, the injured players are back and the effects are immediately visible, full domination and a 4-0 win against El Salvador :)

El Salvador - USA 0:4

Thus, we advanced to the GOLD CUP semi-finals, where we will face Mexico, defending the title from the previous edition.

A new, young midfielder was also called up: Oswald Tyler, who played in the USA U21 team with Norbert two seasons ago :)

This isn't exactly an achievement.

Let's see him win the Gold Cup, first.
2024-05-26 23:18:20
Mexico and Cuba are favorites to win the GOLD CUP, so there is more pressure on them, but we will fight for a surprise :)

But we are certainly happy with the fact that we have a young team that is developing and that the most important players are slowly getting better, let's hope we avoid injuries, because we haven't had any luck with them lately.
2024-05-27 00:13:24
Again, more weakness exuding from your fingertips.

So Cuba and Mexico are slightly better. Big deal. WIN. It can be done, with a more competent manager, or at least someone with the audacity to set some non-cuck standards for the team.

This is why I will continue to vote against you. We need someone who won't surrender 4 goals to freaking Iceland. Yeah, I watched that dumpster fire. Hilarious tactics man. Plays 5 at the back against a minor league team and still ships 4.
You DO know these all count towards our sad team ranking, right?

Seems to me, the only thing you are great at is training youth. Perhaps down the line, you should stick with what you're good at.
