No, you just put them at risk every single week actively playing 90 minutes in a pointless friendly.
The only gametime my young kids get are those 20-25 minutes in league.
Although I always play to win, I recognize that winning involves preparing for the future. 95%> 85%.
See, there's this thing called a corner friendly. Maybe after 4 years in game you've heard of it? Meanwhile, every single time you get one of your kids injured in a friendly is on you. No one else. You put yours at risk for 90 minutes, I put mine at risk for 20, 25 minutes and I get more training. That's called efficiency.
Honestly, after all this, I've gotta say that if you actually put this much effort into tactics for the NT as you did defending yourself on here, I suspect you'd perform better.
Then again, I watched your league match last night, and frankly - I wasn't impressed with either side of the tactics. Looks like some Polish tier 2 teams get carried by their players.
You didn't think to move your best attack minded midfielder to striker? really? Surely a team as good as yours has one.
May not have affected the outcome, but again, it's the effort that counts. The same lack of effort I've noticed with this team.
All this said, good luck with Mexico, Saturday. I look forward to watching.

If you don't blow me out with your first team, it'll be embarrassing. You have 11 out of 11 superior players, much like Atlantic. (Sorry, edit: to be clear, I WANT to see your league team. I want to see how big a difference the best of ML (Atlantic, Vegas) versus a solid Polish II league team. )
Almost as embarrassing as you getting Gidel injured for 23 days in a pointless friendly during the WC.

I mean, I would say "I predicted this" but it's right there in the previous post from yesterday...
Without a game there is no training, so it is logical that an injury may occur during a match. I see you trying to pick on everything just to get offended. This is embarrassing.
Fortunately, you are the only one with such a thoughtless attitude.

Do you want to say that you are the only one who knows the secret way to train young players without the risk of injury? :D Don't embarrass yourself anymore :D I'll give you some advice, even safe tactics do not guarantee an injury-free match, it's a sokker, the sooner you understand it, the better for you
We have it!!!!!!!!!! We are in the Gold Cup final, beating defending champions Mexico in the semifinals. We played a defensive tactic because we knew that our opponent had a better team and it worked 100% :) apart from two goals, we also had the crossbar, I am very happy and proud of the boys :) Thanks Norbert for the congratulations :)

Wait, so now you are saying you knew how to safely train kids, and you STILL don't do it?
Why was I, a team in its fifth full season in sokker, able to keep you to 4 goals and register as many, or more, shots then even some of your II league competitors?
Oh, and I did this giving up skill and quality at EVERY position. To be clear:
- I have zero divine stats on my team, not even in goal. Goal will be soon next season.
- I have ONE unearthly stat within all of my front 5. Only a few magicals.
- I don't have a single defender with 16/16 pace/defense.
- my second best striker, Ran, is about to hit 14/14/14 this week.
- Oh, and I used a brand new tactic to test out against you as well. It was a heavy modification of what I typically use in arcades from time to time. Why? Because I actually thought, for a minute, you might get creative and switch wings on me.
Clearly, I was expecting too much.
I had your entire tactic pinned down. Any intelligent coach in your league or another NT can spend, 60-75 minutes, and know almost exactly what you will do. I knew the shell of literally every game you played in league this season, as well as recent USA matches. You are that vanilla.

The ball spent more time in YOUR half than mine. You were offside 11 times, and if you had taken just 15 minutes to watch one of my Atlantic games, you'd have a good guess that I'd try to trap. It's my experience that letting unearthly/divine tech attackers have the ball for 3-4 seconds free is a recipe to get an equal/inferior defense beaten. Of course you were always going to get your 6-7 breakaways. You pick your poison. It's worked reasonably well against Atlantic FC. I can actually compete with him a little now.
On that tangent, I will definitely confirm that there's a fair gap between the best of USA and Tier II Poland. I expected it, but just wanted to include this.

It just confirms for me, what I originally suspected. The problem with USA NT's performance isn't the team. It's the manager. He's midgrade at best. Carried by superior players. When he doesn't have that advantage? You get USA NT ranked 47th.
Clearly, the majority of the active user base won't read this thread, but this national team doesn't have a skill problem, it's got a coach problem.
Until that changes, we're going to continue to underperform.

I didn't even think about preparing for the match against you, I won it dominantly, if my attackers had been in better shape the result would have been much higher, you set your defense too high, which resulted in me having one-on-one situations every now and then, you prepared so much for me and You couldn't defend yourself? You're a lousy tactician.
Additionally, you prepared so much for me and arranged the throw-in on the pitch so badly? After the throw-in on the pitch, I went into one-on-one situations, it's obvious that you have no idea how to draw a ball. You still have a lot to learn if you even think about playing at a higher level. Currently, your tactics were very weak. You have humbled yourself.

Yesterday's win against Mexico was the first win against them since the 43 season, it only shows how great we played this match, no USA coach has won against Mexico in over 25 seasons. The closest I came was two seasons ago, drawing with them 2:2.
