If you study his pop frequency though, it's really not out of hand for a guy with 3.2 talent. That bid is way too high.

Like, look at the tech pops. entirely reasonably for a 3.1-3.3 talented player at that age.
Passing from 5 to 7 in 4 weeks? Of course. He was probably at 4.7 passing to start, so you had massive skill bleedover into 5 and 6. That enabled him to get to 7 in 4 weeks.
If he has unearthly assistants those defense and PM gen pops again, reasonable.
His three week pace pop from 7 to 8 is good, but not 20 million amazing.

People just see a bunch of green numbers and don't analyze it, and just dump money.

Some prices are detached from reality, but in this case the buyer has a lot of money, he is not buying this player for financial gain, but wants to create the best club in the world, and there are very few such good players on the TL.

If I didn’t keep my best trainees I would certainly be profitable and if I sold them I would find it hard to buy equivalent trainees for an affordable price

I didn’t watch the bidding take place but I was just shocked to see this number this morning since they haven’t sent the player away yet.

They are a trader that has bought and sold more than a billion so it seems legit. I just can’t fathom that much on a single player especially not knowing their talent. Like how can you flip this player for even more? This seems to be the plan based on the strength of their team

When you're looking for the best players you don't flip them.. and teams have always paid more for the trainee version than his fully trained counter part.. for the real cream of the crop.. it's the only way to get the best players.. as they rarely hit the TL.

with that being said... that particular player isn't that flashy... for a value ANYWHERE close to that.. definitely a slim shady !!

meanwhile i'm still not allowed to sell one player for even 1000 $ .. seems fair ;))
wouldn't want new players to 'abuse' the TL ... all sorts of 'improvements' these days!
