Now they always have been a fickle bunch!!

BUT, you used to be able to gain supporter in a lower league where you could win out.. So what's up with the new game mechanics..

My team won it's game sunday 5-0 with 27 shots to 0 ... and 2 out of my 202 fans unsubscribed!! I am outperforming their expectations.. their support level is believe in club and has never decreased in my short club history.. and my ranking number skyrockets after each game. if the game won't allow me to gain new supporters by going undefeated .. Then HOW do i get them now?? instead of making this game more welcoming to new clubs.. i feel they have done the exact opposite.. and imo new users are the only thing that can save this game!! I still can't even sell a player. it's madness..

WINNING SHOULD MATTER!!!. it used to help you build your club.. now supporter leave when you win by too much..

There's a long thread of complaints about this over in sokker development.

Although it seems to be working for me, there are numerous older teams who are having similar issues.

edit: Cometer over there explained it. It seems like the supporter per match estimate is based SOLELY on fan base levels. That's incredibly dumb, but also explains why I'm always an underdog, since I made it to ML so quickly my fan base is smaller than everyone else's. Even now, a season and change later, it still is. I'm still gaining 20-30 fans a week.

wow.. 20-30 a week..

i'm crushing my supporters expectations.. beating teams they don't think i will beat.. and they are still leaving. I was also an underdog coming into the season.

and at this point in my clubs growth.. if i end the season undefeated and have less than 200 subscribers, I will have no income, and no chance to really progress and grow..

I may not last long with these new parameters.. there are several that make zero sense for gameplay :(
And i have to add.. i hate that they are trying to limit the Transfer market.. it used to be such a fun part of the game.

I'll try and stick around as long as i can... but it's not easy these days!
I do love the tactical editor here though.. it is unmatched!

I'm THAT far behind everyone up here.

What will change for you, though, is promoting to A league. At that point you'll be so far behind everyone. You may have to accept taking some beatings but honestly dude? Both A2 and A3 are really weak right now.

You need to get your training setup and get some kids training so you can eventually start making some money. Supporter income isn't that great, even in ML. Most teams run major deficits. In my case, it's around -225k/week before stadium income.

Trash.

I've literally trained a newbie to beat virtually all of you in A3 in two months. Including you.

Team scores <> Team quality. In fact my B team held AEK Chios to 1 goal last Friday, and he played his best 11.

The top 3 teams in A1 (Clover, Muffin, Para) - I'd take them over just about all of you. USA Fighters, not sure. I haven't ever played him or looked at any of his tape.

Grazie Ilander,

I have the best 17 yo team i can afford.. going to just train .. and kick some ass.. time will tell.

I am planning on winning! even if the admins dont' think that is an imporatant part of the game..
such lost souls.. so many great improvements they could make.. and this is what they do..
stupid is as stupid does.. life! we all have to rock it out!

The irony is, this supporter change was actually designed to promote winning. Punishing teams who just sit on money and don't try.

But like most ideas in this game's history, it's not well tested. In many scenarios it works... but until you said something it never occurred to me how it can cripple new B teams.

I still remember starting again myself. Was just last year!

haha Islander, thank you:P As of now I am top 5 :D

Yeah, I get that.... it takes a lot of training to tell someone to stock up on short term answers(36-40yr olds) for cheap, that have no long term value, don't start a youth school, lean heavy in to "tactical advantage" when you have superior older players, to win and promote. solid long term success plan, really.

Everyone is playing the game in different ways stud.

"I haven't looked at his tape".... lol. love it.

LOL, the team I'm talking about has a younger starting XI then you do!

Suggesting a second season team start a youth school is pure idiocy, maybe something you did. Youth schools may pay off in the longer timeline, but they are a massive money sink in the immediate to mid term. Something no one should do until they build up a good stadium.

What's your way of playing the game? Is it spend two calendar years never fielding a team remotely viable of promoting? Just making money to reinvest?
That's actually a solid strategy starting out your first year or so. That's what I did. Let's see how you're doing.

* goes to look at Marauder Stadium*

NOPE. That's not it.

Yeah, I dunno man. Sure looks like spinning wheels to me.

I could literally give 2 $hit$ about promoting my man.

I play this game for the fun of commodity trading. I want to buy players that I train and sell for more money. Then buy better players I can train and sell for more money.

I’ll buy a 28yo here or there and keep them a couple seasons because I can’t train 22 dudes in pace like the old days.

This game lets you do your thing and that’s fun for me.

I was an ML team the first time I played in the 00’s, almost made it back again after a short stint in the 10’s. I really could care less about promoting. I don’t need that validation.

Our philosophies differ. Not sure why you have so much angst.

Why so much negativity?

It is absolutely possible to open a YS early on with >4 trainees and grow supporters regularly. Season reform allows for 2 official matches a week which almost guarantees a home match each week. This should get you a considerable allowance for salaries and transfers fairly early on since players now start off in A league. All you need is 2 grandpa strikers to finish at least mid table to keep your supporters happy and growing without bloating your wages.

When you make money put it into your stadium to improve your coaching staff or trainee quality to grow. Pretty basic formula for success.

OR you can just flip/trade players to the TOP

I think YS before decent stadium is very difficult. without magical trainer it doesnt make sense. then the question is - do you spend money on YS+magical trainer which requires luck or invest more in stadium or main squad trainer/assistants

depends on the youth school....
I have 1-2 slots open each week.. incase i get strong 16 yo with under 5 weeks of training.. they can be very valuable.. and awesome to train!

but obviously after this new supporter system will probably end up running me off.. if i keep losing supporters each week after shutting out my opponents in our first season.. then in my mind.. the game is getting worse, not better.

scary to think what's next! not sure why they wouldn't want to do more to get new players involved.
there were 65000 active players when i first joined.. totally different game.. and SUPER FUN!
now it's just a bunch or rules and what seems like an effort to streamline management styles.
oh well.. giving it my best college try!
