Just play corner tactics in league matches. Problem solved!
2024-08-12 02:17:46
Lol, maybe when I rebuild.

the ME is bad.... but the Supporters system is more broken now than it's ever been.

I won by 22 goals and my supports mood dropped and I lost 5 supports.

Apparently, I shoulda won by 35 goals??

It's funny you say this. I was just apologizing to people on the dev forum about not understanding their plight before.
I have been in the top 3 all season. I've spent quite a bit of time in second, and was even in first for a couple weeks. Yet now, still in second, this is what I am looking at:

Supporters:

Fanclub members: 2065

Rating of the current season: above expectations
Rating of the last season: great success

Level of satisfaction with recent matches: 63%

Level of satisfaction with fulfillment expectations: 73%

Mood: 70% - Your supporters are satisfied

I am, at best, a midtable quality team. I'm 14 and 3. So, fan approval of rank 5 out of 7 for this crap?

---

The reason, is because of the reputation system. I've got the 4th best reputation in the country - because of overachieving. So, now I'm being punished for it because reputation, rather than say team starting XI value or salary, is the sole consideration here. So, when a team like FC Nippon beats me last night (and deservedly so, his team played lights out) my team gets creamed for it.

oh, and entirely unrelated, A3 is looking pretty good these days. A2 is a joke, but I think you guys have more depth than A1 now.

You can't create a perfect system and depending on how you look at it, you can also come to a conclusion how good and easy you have it.

You're playing since 2023 and haven't achieved much, yet you gain supporters and have them at 2065 already after just one year.
I'm playing since 2006, won Polish Ekstraklasa twice, Polish cup twice, went to Champions Cup final etc. Yet I have just 2099 supporters and I'm losing 4-10 every week so you will go ahead of me in a couple of weeks.

Also my mood is mostly 10/100 - 30/100 for whole season.

And I'm not even losing every week, I was 3rd place before last game.

Look at my franchise history.

I haven't done a lot of losing.

That's not my point

My point is it's much easier to raise to the top

You probably already have ~same fanbase, sponsor money and ticket money as the other top teams in USA, so why would you be treated differently than them?

Strenght-wise Atlantic is the only team that seems much ahead of you in terms of ratings
2024-08-19 19:09:51
Vegas is better, and it's not close. His best XI put up higher ratings than Atlantic.

Then there's a large swath of this league that is right around my skill level, you can see here: https://sokker.org/league_stats/leagueID/1064/stat_type/avg_players and here: https://sokker.org/league_stats/leagueID/1064/stat_type/fsvalue

My team is effectively mid-table, but they are producing top table results. They should be happier than this.

edit: additionally, with all the money your franchise sits on, it's no wonder they are unhappy you are camping out in IV league. I mean look at you last night: https://sokker.org/comment?matchID=41399704 what kind of lineup is that?

That's why your fans are angry. It's always an individual's choice to half-ass this game, but this - rather than my overproduction - should be punished more by an irritable fan base.

Because I'm performing better? I mean, that's what Raul wants to matter...right?
2024-08-19 19:27:09
It's not really half-assing, there's no other way for me to give 96-97% of training to 16yo/17yo players that I train, what else can I do? They need to get 90 in friendly and 36 in official. IMO that's a serious issue of this game, making it effectively unable to both play for results and train.

And yeah, my supporters expect me to win the league, even though I have one of the lowest ratings in the division.

Yours don't expect as much and 70/100 is actually HIGH in current standards. Since that's after you lost a game, you probably drift around 80 for most of the time, yes? I don't see how that's wrong in any way.

Because I'm performing better? I mean, that's what Raul wants to matter...right?

Well you're performing better so you get more supporters, more sponsors money, more ticket money - what else do you expect?

And you still have lower expectations than the better teams, in fact 3rd lowest expectations in whole league

Average individual marks this week:
Vice-championship below expectations Atlantic FC
Vice-championship total failure USA Fighters
Vice-championship total failure FC Nippon
Vice-championship total failure Balls of Steel
Top half of the table great success Las vegas city
Top half of the table above expectations Hot Club Lions
Top half of the table goal achieved Warszawa Warszawa (L)
Top half of the table above expectations FC Harambe
Top half of the table total failure Pittsburgh FC
Top half of the table above expectations Baltimore Arsenal FC
Brave fight for any points above expectations @DaMuffinMan…….
Brave fight for any points great success PARADISE UTD

Based on your example I'd say that this system actually works as it should...

"t's not really half-assing, there's no other way for me to give 96-97% of training to 16yo/17yo players that I train, what else can I do? They need to get 90 in friendly and 36 in official. IMO that's a serious issue of this game, making it effectively unable to both play for results and train."

I do the same thing as you, and have done so my entire time here. Even in my first season in ML when I (at the start) had a team that barely got into the upper 50s for most of the season.

It only takes 22 minutes to get 96%. I set my conditionals for 20 minutes since it seldom happens right then and there. This admittedly doesn't do me any favors for winning games, but on balance it's seldom cost me many matches over my three seasons in ML. Even last night although I had a couple good chances wasted early by Hodge, The four kids left the pitch we were 0-0, that's all I can ask for.
If you're pushing an extra 15 minutes of league time for 1-2% training, that is naturally your choice but it is a very low ROI. You're an extremely intelligent guy, and you've mathed out more difficult things in sokker.

Lately, I've ended up blowing an entire league game or two the past couple seasons because of the Cup play (finalist, semi-finalist).

I wholeheartedly agree with the 'this is a problem' sentiment[, though. It's not new, though. It's a conscious choice to invest about your future. You get this.

-------

"Well you're performing better so you get more supporters, more sponsors money, more ticket money - what else do you expect?"

All I expect are happier fans, since their overall happiness seems to be tied to how much a team can charge (successfully) for home ticket prices. In the old system, right now it would be delighted, at worst.

------

See, my unnamed friend wasn't sure if this meant I had the third lowest or what, but following this logic (10th lowest expectation -->so let's say 6th place expectation based on 'top half') , I'm in second place - and have been in second place most of the season . I'm not sure how this demonstrates 70% happiness and level 5 'satisfied'; is accurate. I've been 'vice champion' for much of the season, and the worst case scenario is me stumbling into 4th. If I were in 4th place right now, I'd have no complaints with the system today.

I don't know. Using your argument I'm getting the opposite view.

It's because you came in with no expectations as a promotee.

I had 100% both of last two seasons ( edit: to be clear, I had 'brave fight for points, the lowest expectation, both seasons since my money is perpetually poor). Like me, you don't fully understand how this system works. As soon as you have real expectations put on you, you can go 18 and 4 and your fan base isn't going to be 100%.

That's what many of those older players in that Dev forum thread were complaining about. I had your same mentality last season. Basically "I'm winning a ton, what's wrong with you guys". It's the expectations aspect that's kinda broken for the better teams. There's functionally little to no difference to fan happiness between 5th or 6th, or 1st and 2nd. Imagine being expected to win the league, winning the league...and having your fan level at 4 since you didn't go wire to wire.
Even when I was in first place for a couple weeks, the fans were 'delighted'.

I bet Atlantic's fans are pissed, for example, and if I'm right it's just as whack. Guy's in third, not 6th (for now)
