Onderwerp: Crappy juniors?

2007-05-05 06:43:21
Yet another week with no new juniors despite having 5 slots open.
2007-05-05 08:18:59
I got a 32 week "weak." I'm an eternal optimist, though, so I'm assuming that he's a 4 week talent and will come out incredible.

I picked up a couple with a chance.

Campbell Koch average 27
John Harrington good 28

Two weeks in a row, only 1 junior with 6 open slots, and he was 31 weeks and tragic.

This is getting old fast. My next junior ready for call up is 12 weeks away.

Crappy juniors seems to be a topic, in a lot of countries. But we are beeing told it’s random, but is it really? I have made some stats of the juniors, who have arrived at my juniorschool over the past 9½ month.

134 juniors arrived:

Tragic: 28
Hopeless: 23
Unsatisfactory: 21
Poor: 16
Weak: 19
Average: 12
Adequate:10
Good: 5

Weeks left when they arrived:

0-4: 13,8 %
5-9: 19,8 %
10-14: 9,9 %
15-19: 12,2 %
20-24: 18,3 %
25-29: 13,8 %
30-34: 12,2 %

Now I truly hope that it’s random, cause then it would add up in the end, and I would really have something to look forward too. But somehow I have a gut feeling, that it’s not totaly random.

In this case random means that it's even for all of us. You and I both have the same chance at pulling a tragic, and you and I have the same chance at pulling a good.

It does not mean that you have as much chance of pulling a good as you do a tragic.

just a quick remark, it would still be random (the same for every manager), even if the overall probabilities for pulling better juniors have been tweaked.

of course i have no proof, but i just have a feeling, got better juniors with a formidable coach than a brilliant.

The coach has no effect on what juniors come to your squad, only how well they train once they are there.
2007-05-09 10:56:16
get out of here. Oh yea so the programmers typed in a secret batch of code which enables teams with worse youth coaches to get better pick of the bunch of juniors. ha

dont be ignorant, i never said that.

what I said was that in my 5 seasons in sokker, it seemed that i got more talented juniors than i do now. Im simply wondering if this a coincidence, or if this has been done on purpose for ALL sokker users.

I have no proof, it could just be my luck with juniors right now, im just probing the subject, so save me your sarcasm.

coach does have an effect on pops though, and talent has been shitty too lately :)
2007-05-12 09:42:51
i wake up to this....

Kurtis Benton tragic 4

potential future NT...for kazakstan maybe

Well I got six guys just as bad if that makes you feel any better.
2007-05-12 12:48:44
I broke my streak on only one useless guy..

Got a 6 week hopeless and a 20 week poor (at least I can keep one for a while to see how bad he sucks). This is becoming a joke. I never get more than 3, and have not had anyone above poor all season.
2007-05-12 14:32:41
My junior squad had fallen all the way down to 16. Got 4 new ones today though.

Nate Hawkins weak 10
Aaron Durant average 31
Abe O'Reilly hopeless 31
Stan Metcalfe poor 33

Hopefully Durant has talent!
