Onderwerp: Hockeyarena question

I'm soliciting advice.

Fresh pull:

Information about player Hobey Leonard, id 26373141
Age 18 Country USA
Contract 2 days Team Nanook of the North
Injury Healthy Quality 97
Salary 0 Potential 76
Ability index 87 Loyalty -3
Satisfaction neutral Weeks in team 1
Goalie's weak spot Glove Star 12%
Attributes
Goalie 0 (0%) Speed 6 (0%)
Defense 39 (87%) Strength 6 (0%)
Offense 17 (0%) Self-control 7 (0%)
Shooting 4 (45%) Form 74 (+3)
Passing 8 (0%) Experience 0 (44%)
Energy 96 Training 42%

Gotta love the Q/P. Gotta hate the -3 loyalty. I have a bunch of good stud young defense trainees, although this guy would be my best trainee under 21 years old.

Do I try to sell him for $200m, or do I make him a starter on my 4th line next season, and then try to bump him to -2 loyalty before it gets too expensive (hoping he doesn't drop a -2 starter to -3 at the same time).
2010-09-14 06:21:08
I would wait until he has his 20 games next season, see what other player will be affected by the loyalty bump, then make my decision.

I keep getting great pulls with -3 loyalty, two u20 nat players along the way, my thinking was I'd train them until they hit 24 or 25 then sell. But I never put a whole lot of thought into this game, probably not the best approach.
2010-09-15 22:22:48
I think I'm going to list him for $350m and see if someone wants to buy a stud trainee and worry about it.

just pulled, i'll scout him soon

Another decent pull.

I'm definitely selling him - I'm trying to keep only players with 90+ Q, so he doesn't quite fit. But with the Q/P the way it could hopefully show up on a listing, I may get someone that will pay a fortune for him.

very nice, 300+ ai center one day? did you do the new intensive training thing on him?

I don't really get the new ys, I think the only difference is that you can see 16yr olds a year before you can pull them, and give the +6 boost to ai twice a season.

ok additions but not really much change.
2010-10-26 16:11:42
is that what the intensive training does? +6 to AI?

2010-10-26 18:10:13
Yes I did. His Q and P and a bit higher looking now than when I pulled him. Scouting him tonight.

and yes will be trained at Center

shame the potential isn't a tiny bit higher, but still a great pull, he is going to be monstrous.

fwiw

The Q and P ended up being in the middle of what he showed before and after I pulled him.
2010-10-29 08:14:40
One thing that just occurred to me when I was thinking how lucky it was for you to get the 17yr old so early in the season, was that now all 16yr olds you pull during the season are going to be the youngest players in the game when you pull them in week 1 next season.

so all the 16yr olds you get during this season that look worth keeping are going to be week 1 17yr olds next season and ready to pull since there's no reason to keep them in the school. Could be an influx of 5-10 really young and talented players every pre-season from now on.

That is a fairly big change because now there are going to be some great week 1 17yr olds popping up all over the place that will become huge ai players eventually.

was a week 1 17 yo way back

so he was like 100/96 and that young, that is really lucky.

but now players like that will be a lot more common, still rare but not as rare as they used to be.
2010-11-01 14:17:52
I've gotten junk - I had one 16 year old that was 95 P, but a "1" for Q....
