Onderwerp: To pay 160 millions for kaka+cristiano...

2009-06-23 11:56:46
well, I tried to show you my arguments. The way this investment works, the way they get the money back and the way they still make diference by winning the championships.

But you finally decided to act like a child... then please go and find the word "economic" in the dictionary... (it´s different than cheap, remember!)

luck!

And what has this got to do with this topic?
2009-06-23 15:32:55
I don't see any Real shirt in this photo?
2009-06-23 15:56:00
Zidane is legend :)))

@ rac2 ...as i said a page ago: show me the results (numbers) and i will shut up

...you wanted some numbers...

Deloitte Football Rich List - figures quoted are operating revenues in €m

2002/3
1. Man United - 251
2. Juventus - 218
3. AC Milan - 200
4. Real Madrid - 193
5. Bayern Munich - 163

2003/4
1. Man United - 259
2. Real Madrid - 236
3. AC Milan - 222
4. Chelsea - 193
5. Juventus - 163

2004/5
1. Real Madrid - 276
2. Man United - 246
3. AC Milan - 234
4. Juventus - 229
5. Chelsea - 221

2005/6
1. Real Madrid - 292
2. Barcelona - 259
3. Juventus - 251
4. Manchester United - 243
5. AC Milan - 239

2006/7
1. Real Madrid - 351
2. Man United - 315
3. Barcelona - 290
4. Chelsea - 283
5. Arsenal - 264

2007/8
1. Real Madrid - 366
2. Man United - 325
3. Barcelona - 309
4. Bayern Munich - 295
5. Chelsea 269

Points of Note:
a) Man United had been top of the rankings for 8 consecutive years before Real overtook them.
b) in the 2001/2 list Real ranked 13th
c) coinciding neatly with the 'Galáctico' era (Figo 2000/5, Zidane 2001/6, Ronaldo 2002/7, Beckham 2003/7) Real started moing up the rankings
d) In 2007/8 over 35% of Real's revenue was generated from commercial activities off the pitch, so not including match-related or TV revenue.

I concede that these figures don't give the full picture as they aren't profit figures, but you can see Real's strategy when in 6 years they've nearly doubled their revenues. You could afford a couple of Ronaldos at this level of revenue increase.

This isn't to say I actually think that Ronaldo et al are worth this much, but the figures provide a view as to why some people might think they are, and so the commercial justification for paying £80m.

CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP

Thank you very much!

back to this topic, madrid presented ronaldo yesterday in front of 80k ppl, 30k more than kaká.

the fact is right in that place, independently of the two, there is already some level of rivalry between them. everything in respect to one is compared to the other.

and inside the field, this is something that could make one and/or the other to fail.

kaká seems to be above these things, although it is obvious he preferred to continue playing for milan. but i don't think ronaldo would stand up seeing the brazilian surpass him.

because of this, in my opinion, the new version of galacticos can (not saying they will) become falling stars.

and bilarnotti, not arguing economic-wide anymore, just talking football and getting titles here :)
2009-07-07 15:38:57
Of course, we don´t need to keep on arguing on economics anymore... mr. steelers has owned that point with huge arguments.

You want it, you ask for it, ok, now you got it :P

Edit: About the titles, well, Real Madrid still needs to buy another def, imo. Maybe two, in fact.

yep, numbers are there, that's what i wanted :)

haven't you got any comments about the potential ego problem?
2009-07-07 16:14:52
what is the best sokker help program?
2009-07-07 16:25:06
In Manchester United there were lots of stars, and no one had problems with Ronaldo. Of course we men all hate ronaldo, that stupid smile on his face and all the girls loving him... but I never heard any coach or soccer player saying something like "he doesn´t work well, he is not a good mate".

I don´t think there will be ego problems, I think they´ll perform a really good season.
