Onderwerp: »[info] Dev Diary 77: Tax reform (final)

2024-05-28 17:53:33
Aquestion:
Is a week calculated beetween day of entering in A-Team until day of putting on TL,
or just about numero of weeks concerned?

Example:
Player buyed on monday 17/06 et putted on TL on sunday the 28/07.
Is it 6 or 5 weeks counted?

I only know ot is the same value as shown in "graphs" tab of a player "weeks in club". There will be also notification about calculated tax.

I for one am in favour of the tax reform. I think they should probably be working on wages more as right now, most teams don't even look at them they are so absurdly low.

Top players should command higher wages. Just like expensive players should command higher wages.

If you want a young, upcoming superstar to have allegiance to your club in real life, you offer good salary and training facilities. They aren't necessarily better than some first teamers but their potential is better and therefore wage higher.

And lol to people thinking this tax reform hurts new players. It's not the new players who are day trading most of the time (of course, there is always and exception

Good idea ! Wages should be proportional to transaction, not only skills. If we paid a 16y player 15M, ok so, we will have to pay higher wages. No more easy farming.

Well, if the taxes are notified, i think it could be fair. But 50% or even 30% taxes, not only it's absurdly prohibitive (we might as well ban transactions for 6 weeks, and done) but if users are not well informed — like those past weeks — It really is the worse ux idea.

New users tend to make stupid purchases and are stuck with them for too long

If you spend your entire starting bank on a few 33y+ players before you've figured out how the game works, you either have to fire them or wait half a season. Either way, your team is basically dead before you even started.

Sure. But who cares about new users now ? First, new users have to wait days or weeks to get a club assigned to them before even starting the game :-)

Whey are they stuck? They are not, they still can sell fast with higher tax.
The tax is not the problem. The problem is that new users makes stupid mistakes.

Hopefully they will introduce official tutorial for a new users in the future to prevent making stupid things.

4 weeks is not fast, its long enough to go very close to bankuptcy if they buy a bunch of good 35yo players with €10-15k salary. Unfortunately this is exactly what many new users do.

The problem with tutorials is that no one reads them before getting attached to the game. Its far more fun to browse the market and gather a significantly better team than reading tutorials.

Mistakes are unavoidable and if they are not fixable with little damage players will just give up.

Mistakes are mistakes, better prevent making them, than lowering damage done from such mistakes. It also can't be like that, that a new user makes mistakes without consequences. That would result with "smart" users making such mistakes with purpose.

Tutorial is the most important thing missing for a new users now. In-game tutorial, maybe some blocked content before something is read.

Remove the auction fee.

Or... remove the starting price for players who are in your team less than a full season (13 weeks) and make it default 1€.
