Onderwerp: [idea] Financial Fair Play in Sokker

DarkmasteR naar Iedereen
Idea:

Within a season, you cannot spend on transfers more than your income from operating activities in the last two seasons + the current one

Purposes:

- It should reduce player prices and keep them at a reasonable level, users will be careful how much they spend on a players even if they have a lot of money;
- It will effectively put an end to daytrading;
- It will encourage long-term training and homegrown players;
- Years of farming money in the lower leagues and spending it all at once for the best players on the market will be impossible

Notes:

- It's not about net balance, just income, so you're not screwed if you have a negative net balance;
- Obviously, we exclude transfer revenue because it will stimulate daytrading instead of the other way around;
- Because the current season's income is included, even if you spend your entire limit at the start of the season, you'll still have extra money over the course of the season to react to emergencies or buy a new trainee;
- It will limit to some extent the opportunities for rapid growth of new users, so they can benefit from a less restrictive limit for their first year or two, gradually reducing to the standard;
- In the smallest countries even the best teams get very little money from tickets and sponsors, but we can make a rule that if you are in the top league of any country your transfer limit cannot be less than X amount so if you are the only player in Uzbekistan you still have the chance to buy good players (in case you have the money for it) and be competitive at international level.

Way too complex idea imo.

There is no real economic problem, only a transitional period in which prices flux more than average.
Time will solve this. It's the new implementations we need to bring the economy back to a more realistic level.

Good idea imo.

Terrible idea in the current environment. Those in smaller countries which already have income issues they can’t control except for transfers would now have a further constraint of not being able to improve through the use of the transfer market either.

yeah, there's such a wide spread of wealth, I'm not sure how you'd really implement this. You have teams with 100 million and teams with 100k.
2023-04-23 10:51:52
make exceptions from exceptions of exceptions and rules so complicated that no one will understand them only to implement something that will never work

very bad idea.

It can be done really easy!
At the beginning of the season (week 13) "The total transfers amount" will be calculated and shown on the main Finances menu (maybe even separately calculated, for visibility and understanding reasons) based on the team's total value ! If a team is worth 100 mil, "the total transfers amount" will be 10 mil ... 20 mil ...10, 20%... The devs can decide what's best! So farming teams can only grow gradually !!!!
Ciao!

Easier solution: teams can only have a certain amount of money, more is not possible. This will solve a number of problems at once.
2023-05-04 20:17:14
Has anyone even came up with a reason why having more than X amount is a problem?

Because they didn't... :-p

cause this encourages the plan to hide and collect money for lots of seasons then attack the top division win and then hide vs those that compete all the time
also people with 100M in account sometimes just bid on players and make the prices super high for those that need players urgently to cover injuries ...

Within a season, you cannot spend on transfers more than your income from operating activities in the last two seasons + the current one

Team in first level: amount of 100 kk Euros
Team in fifth level: amount of 800 k Euros

Really, Jão? Is this solution for what?

cause this encourages the plan to hide and collect money for lots of seasons then attack the top division win and then hide vs those that compete all the time

I guess I agree that that is a problem, but that has been the most profitable way to play sokker since the beginning.
And change like this then should come with a merge to even playing field because looking from small nation perspective that would kill any chances of achieving anything because my operating income has a wayyy lower roof than people from countries who can fill competitive divisions.
And there would be tons of crying in forums because someone couldnt buy injury replacement etc.

this idea is so bad i can't stand it.

i am playing this game for 20 years. There were good times, there were bad times. I lost interest several times, but never quit. Deep inside there is a fun stage where you can go dormant and collect money and whenever the fun is back just go and be in top for several seasons.
You take this away and you play like 200 teams around the world.
2023-05-10 21:16:59
I am glad that you stuck around 20 years...

You have to have vision to understand my ideas!
This game is all about numbers: 3 is bigger than 1, so 3 will beat 1 come match day! The tactical impact is very little, motivation of players is inexistent, the hired coach is a puppet that only provides traning, the players have no individuality.... just numbers!
Supporting lazy, unmotivated, money hungry managers until their appetite for the game comes back, so they can CRUSH EVERY OPPONENT for a few seasons (and than they go back to logging in once a month), is not healthy for the game and it's not fair towards active managers that pull their hair out every day here!
Ciao!
